I updated with a minor quibble about their guns. But you're welcome :D .

What he said! He’s awkwardly stuck between styles, with his robot mode being influenced by the animated robot mode, but in a way that doesn’t quite land as it has with later figures. His upper body does like to come apart, but once he’s posed up, he does look pretty good. There are parts of his silhouette that match the animation well, but sometimes in ways that feel very superficial. But on top of all that he has the most incredible blue paint – very fitting for the character!

I would kill for a v2, that better achieves the specific proportions of his animated robot mode while still getting in a good flight mode, and accurate car. I think using a fake canopy isn’t a terrible idea, given the shift in proportions between modes. I know it’s not likely from Takara, but I would love to see a third party try and tackle it. I’ve been sketching up ways to do it, but I’m not quite perfectly happy yet…

Agreed. I love MP Tracks. Everything about him is gorgeous, imo.

The thing that bothers me most about the Tracks tooling is its posture. The shoulder and neck line sit so far forward of the hips, it looks unnatural. You're forced to put him in a permanent crotch-thrust pose in an otherwise neutral stance, otherwise he awkwardly leans forward.

When the hallmark of the 'toon accurate MPs is excellent robot mode posture, that absolutely stands out. Both MP Rodimus's also suffer from this.

The Sunstreaker mold can do the thrust pose and the standard A stance perfectly.

IMHO MP-28 still has the best car mode out of all the Hot Rods to date, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Not what I meant. Tracks doesn't look right unless he's thrusting.

I'm sure if we look hard enough, we can find faults in everything we do. But hey, just like buying a house or car, I'm sure can tackle all issues with some dignity! We're big boys/gals afterall! ;)

This is an ongoing trend nowadays unfortunately. When people go "high" their's an entire movement of those who try to go "low" as hard as they can.

If this Trailbreaker is anything like the past few years of releases, things will be fine! Nothing is perfect, though; that's life.

People think if an item is relatively expensive there is guaranteed perfection. If you wanted absolute perfection (which would necessitate the most cutthroat QC) that would cost a hell of a lot more to cover the loss of the amount of rejected copies. Do we want to be wasteful like that over some flaws? Does some parts having paint mistakes or things not having the appropriate friction make us want to pay much much more to guarantee that?

If you got some preorders up at amazonjp, now may be a good time to start paying them off or putting something on them. My TB preorder is at $120 shipped right now, but Japan is going to be opening up more and more to give their economy a boost and we're going to loose this super conversion we have right now at some point.

How do you pay it off now? I don't see an option.

BTW, all I see that might work is the gift card option. Can you buy a gift card on US Amazon and use it there?

Pre-COVID, foreign tourism only accounted for 1.5% of Japan’s GDP. Meanwhile domestic tourism accounted for 6%. While 1.5% certainly isn’t nothing, I wonder if Japan sloooooowly opening up (with very strong restrictions still) is gonna do much for the strength of the Yen tbh.

Not saying it’s not a good idea to pay off preorders now though.
