Just got confirmation from TCP that those emails were in fact sent by mistake. James & Bond ARE NOT coming at this time.

I’m dying to see what the backs of each bot mode look like!

I don’t have any other XTB figures. They usually look great, but how’s their quality?

I currently own nine XTB units and have owned a few more in the past (I sold the Apollyon v2 to a friend once I bought the Maketoys Megatron, and later sold the same friend two of the Stunticon carbots once I decided to go another way; c'mon MMC, help a brother out). They are definitely a mixed bag, but ultimately I've been mostly happy with their work. Transformations can sometimes be overly complicated though, which I honestly believe is what led to many of the breakage complaints over the years.

Thoughts on the nine XTB pieces I currently own: Klaatu/Cosmos, Neptune/Seaspray, Toro/Cliffjumper, and Paean/Hoist figures are excellent, Andras/Scourge, Savant/Skids, and Ollie/Wheelie v2 are quite solid, and both Arkose/Beachcomber and Boost/Windcharger are nice (but definitely a bit fiddly and over-engineered).

Thoughts on the ones I sold: for his time, Apollyon was a marvel to behold. Still looks good, too. The two Stunticons I owned (Flipout and Crackup, aka Wildrider and Breakdown respectively) were both very nice pieces, and I sometimes regret selling them; they made great stand alone units...

I have all three of the upcoming XTB Omnibots preordered, as I believe XTB can knock a single-transformation piece very well. I'm seriously considering their Runabout and Runamuck for the same reason, as well as their first Throttlebot. May pick up this guy as well, but will likely pass on their Constructicons. I'm trying to wind this collection down as money gets tighter and tighter by the day/week/month, and the Omnibots are the only upcoming 100% priority pieces from XTB for me currently.

    Hope this helps some! :)

To be honest, with all the shutdowns and problems going on in China with Covid and now the spreading banking crisis, I don't know if it's realistic to expect much from any of these companies for a month or two. Fans Toys is still trucking along tho, so it is possible.

My oldest pre-orders all from August 2021 are now the Protectobots, Omnibots, and Punch/Counterpunch. With 13 released figures in July and August it seems like XTB will move on to one of these next before Ultramagnus at the end of the year. Someone must be planned for October/November.

In this thread: People trying to talk themselves into keeping an XTB pre-order because "some of their previous releases weren't complete trash" :D

Of the figures I have, I've only had issues with Boost and Andras that I can recall. Andras was a quick fix with a replacement wing piece, while Boost was a self-repair. Aside from that, maybe some missing pieces which were replaced, but nothing I haven't experienced with FansToys (most recently Hannibal) or MMC in the past. Don't care about brand loyalty, just how the figures are quality-wise and if they fit the aesthetic I'm going for.

Replaced Neptune with Spindrift v2, and going with Takara Boost over XTB's redeco, as I already have XTB's offering for Skids and Crosscutter. Will skip their Constructicons, as I'm actually quite happy with the JinBao OSKO Gravity Builder! Though I am actually keeping Jansen and Tesla v2, thanks to the different options for both!

I honestly feel XTB is way over-hated. I've bought a handful of their stuff since the beginning of the year and all have been solid. Even Locke, who has only had the issue of the paint chipping on the diecast thighs.

Hoping we see more of this guy soon. Renders look pretty solid and I don't have a Punch/Counterpunch

As someone who passed on Koot and bought V2 Locke I might not be the best person to answer this, but...

...No. I think Locke might actually be the worst XTB figure I've bought.

I think Locke looks better depending in what you want in a Kup. Koot is by far the better built bot.
