You mean her toy concept colors? MMC released their Ocular Max Azalea figure in that color scheme as a TFCon exclusive. I have one, it’s a terrific figure.

Well, folks, I'm honestly quite impressed with this new Arcee.
If the figure was just a little smaller, it would've replaced the DX-9 mold right away. As it is, it will fill up my evergrowing Legends+ collection.



I genuinely have zero complaints and I believe with the new face sculpt - whenever it will come out - this Mechanic Toys / Dr. Wu Arcee will look pretty much perfect.

 

I'm a big Newage fan and own many of their figures but am I alone in preferring this collaboration to the NA effort?

i went with Magic Square for Ironhide and Ratchet too. Great to have all these quality options - there was a time when we'd be choosing our least-imperfect figures!

I appreciate that they're doing it but it doesn't do any good for those not planning on buying any more of their figures. That said, I knew that when I bought her and I knew what the face looked like and I accepted that it was worth the money I paid so I've got nothing to complain about but I do have to say that it bothers me just a little that they were working on this before the figure was released, which means they knew her face could use improvement, and they just went ahead and released her anyway.

 

The only thing I can think of is that was related to factory commitments. Otherwise way not just release one of the other many projects Dr. We is working on.

 

Yeah, I get that. I guess I mean that they should've realized it before it got to that point. But mine has already been replaced by Newage so I'm not too worried about it (would've cancelled my order but it shipped out like a day or two before Newage announced theirs).

 

I don't mind not having the face with the red visor, but the improved regular face looks much better!

Have to see if it's worth the hassle to get it. If I get the other figure just for the new face, I'll probably sell the figure. So it's not free for me.

It turns out the backpack can be slimmed down easily. Just snap part of it off. I got white stress mark on mine, but it may be avoidable.



Most Arcee need to 'go under the knife' to beautify themselves.  

 

With lips painted the face looks way better, I mean their main mistake was not releasing her with red lips, though it is an easy fix with any permanent paint marker.

My inspiration - for any Arcee I had - is WFC Arcee since there was never a toy of her and to me she is the best Arcee design, not to mention her IDW incarnation which was so awesome <3


I didn´t aim to replicate every single detail, but to get her close to that vibe.

Thankies! I used a type of clay we call biscuit here, it didnýt go as smooth as I hoped, but I can pass the sloppyness as battle damage -^.^- I also helps a tidbit with stability :3
