Why pay $55? Prices revealed at Show-Z are $36.99 each.

ShowZ only had the first two priced at time of writing.

Shit, I’ll take it. Maybe I’ll actually transform her now. I haven’t touched her since I opened it. You need shipping money? PM please if you want to/can :)

Understood. But since Amie was around that price I had no doubt the recolors would be priced similarly. I pay no attention to domestic retailers since the markups are usually quite considerable.

Anyway, just posting the update since the prices were revealed late last night.

They are not being sold under Mech Fan Toys branding. They are being sold by Dr. Wu. Your not going to get KO prices from Dr. Wu. If you do not like the prices you could get them from showz for $37.
    Show.Z Store

I am not sure the nature of Mechanic Studios (Designer) relationship with MFT and Dr. Wu, but if I hazard a guess they have an aggreement to sell the original designs under the Dr. Wu branding to avoid the problems and stigma that come from KO branding. But that means Dr. Wu is also getting a cut so that will increase prices.

They're co-branded under Mechanic Studios where the figures are usually $40. The derivative designs, often but not always sold under the MFT branding, are typically close to $25. Though there seems to be a confusion over what's sold how in the domestic shops. Anyway, this is a marked price increase for that (MS) label, especially considering that the first couple are priced in line with previous expectations. $55 for the recolors is really out there for an MS/MFT product especially if ShowZ is listing them all in the normal range.

Flame Walker looks to me like teenager Hot Rod due to his slim build. :D

I already have MS-19 Flame Commander, which is good enough for me.

I have most of the MFT Autobot movie bots too, but I won't be picking up Kup unless they have a new design.

    Ebay:
Mine arrived today. She's more fun than photos made me think and her articulation is fantastic. It'd be nice if her wrists could swivel and if her feet could angle up but otherwise she's very very posable.

Alt mode looks pretty damn good aside from the fact that the seats are nonexistent and the floorboards are pretty much level with the top of her doors. She also suffers from the issue than many Arcees have where the doors combined are thicker than the car interior.

Bot mode is meh. Thighs are skinny, shoulders sit too far out, and her upper body is kind of a big block. Face is unimpressive. And of course there's the giant backpack though it's far from the worst Arcee backpack ever. A huge chunk of her chest is the same piece as her collar so it's a big white square on her chest where it ought to be pink. Like I said, though, the articulation is pretty great.

All in all, she's an alright figure and fun to play with but I don't think she comes close to being worth the $40 asking price. I wish NA's had been announced just a few days sooner so I could've cancelled this one before she shipped.

Just got mine today and ordered the other variations. Being realistic at the size she is, I think she looks great in both modes and has plenty of articulation including ab crunch. The transformation is also pretty intuitive and not finicky. My one wish would be to have metal feet or some heavier material to help her standing balance. I know the Newage version will surpass these, but pretty dang good!

How can any Arcee not have good articulation? :D  Most of them are shellformers, i.e. their robot mode is independent of their car mode.

One thing I like about Amie is that it doesn't have hollowed out hips (or other places) that many MFT figures suffer from (to save plastic material).

This is something that's turning me off for MFT.

amie is in their MS series of original figures, which in my experience have all been solid with hollowness being almost always functional.

I've only experienced cheapness and hollow bits in their MF series which are as far as i can tell all oversized KO's.

I recently picked up Kup for about $25. I went back and forth on it because I also felt that he looked dated and needed a v2 upgrade but didn’t know if they were gonna do one like they did Springer. So I picked him up just to complete the look. He’s not bad but definitely due for an upgrade. :D

They still need to recolor the Nightbird mold variant into Flowspade!

The "snow camo" Nightbird reminds me of the training drone Hotrod fights in the movie

Has there been another 3P attempt at the old mockup orange and pink deco for Arcee, or is Doctor Wu's DW-MS31M Mirror Ninja it?

    About MS31m Mirror Ninja.

    It's actually SG Nightbird.

Purple Arcee combiner hunter and Snow Nightbird sound like Catalyst from Fortnite.
