So just curious, but how does one get the "special" version that has the shooting missiles?

This is what I need to see before I decide if I'm on board or not. The arm looks great, but how does it look on a body?

I hope the combined mise looks good, but personally it's just a bonus right now. The alt and robot modes alone are enough to get me on board.

to be honest, i only like the 1st release for bot and ship modes. its seems most simple/clean of the bunch. i would have liked this as a standalone figure, with all the special effects parts...

Seems like Piranacon would be a good rival for them.

Hm I can already see that the combiner team will pretty much look like variants of the same guy that just happen to turn into different ships. This really does kinda just look like the first bot but wider.

    These are looking so cool!

Is anyone on here more familiar with the IP? Maybe @xueyue2?

From what I can gather it's a new free issued web comic (free to get some attention for the artist?) and you can read all of it here (in Chinese)...

    超合金舰神-超合金舰神在线漫画-在线漫画-腾讯动漫官方网站

I can't read Chinese, so struggle to follow it! Up to now only two transforming ships have been revealed. Seems they are some 'lost technology from before an apocalypse' trope kinda thing. The main protagonist get's control of one (the destroyer, the first toy coming), something to do with his old man leaving it to him or something. Goes off looking for others of the old fleet that they should be able to connect to and find the amphibious assault ship one (baby aircraft carriery thing). That one is initially hostile and they have a fight, but seems to be some connection. As of now they are looking for that one to connect to. Also the protagonist is gonna die (!), but can survive by killing enemies and getting 'fleet points' gifted like an RPG, lol! :)

As for the bad guys, early on the protagonist (plus normal humans in normal ships) are fighting a fleet of Japanese looking battleships. The leader is possibly a Yamoto, although looks maybe more like a Fuso class battleship to me, but hard to tell. But that doesn't turn into a robot, but does have a giant ray gun (hence the toy name maybe). That get's dismissed when the protagonist first activates 'god of war mode' i.e. robot mode, and leaves with a typical 'I'll get you next time' vibe.

That seems to be it so far! Lot's of giant sea monster fighting and a chick who just jetpacks around with an energy sword who's almost as effective as the entire ship mech - lol! No sign of any combining, but I'd guess amphibious assault ship will eventually come on board as a start. If you look close at the toy combined mode rough prototype, it seems to have two of the destroyer ships as arms, and two of the amphibious assault ships as legs. Not sure if the final configuration has duplicates like that, or that's just all that is revealed/developed so far, so they doubled them up for the display?? No idea what the torso is as the proto is so rough/blocky! Maybe a full aircraft carrier?

Maybe Yamoto/Fuso comes back 'upgraded' with transforming ability, or the Samurai robot is liberty taken for the toy? And no sign whatsoever of any giant Heavy Gustav railway gun!

    All very intriguing. :)

Sorry I didn't read the comic as well, so not familiar with the IP. I think you probably summarized it better than my knowledge.
About the 1st figure, since it's based on the real Chinese Navy ship, it even have some kind of official authorization, maybe that's why it's more expensive. I hope later the other figures like Yamoto will be cheaper...
