It is the standard silver paint yes. Nothing about a metallic repaint yet I am afraid.

 

Now that you mention metallic, I don't think we have seen a golden lagoon version.

As much as that would be cool to see a gold chrome version, it might just crumble to pieces with GPS though.

Some parts during the transformation may suffer some paint chipping too.

 

So I got the TE01B yesterday. First time with a later version of the mold. I have the Ver.2. The quality of Ver. 3 black is the same. However is there something I need to do with the thighs or legs? Because the copy I have seems almost like one leg is slightly longer than the other. It’s obvious when posing him in a static stance.

anyone know what that is or have had that and adjusted it to match the other leg?

Wasn't there an issue with the hips being built the wrong way? I think there was an easy fix but maybe I am confusing.

That may be accurate. I’m going to have to take time tonight and go thru the thread to find the sections where other members had detailed that issue and showed the fix. Thanks for reminding me.. I do remember something about it.

too bad this website doesn’t have a “tab” feature where you can select pages to start a thread from that is saved and can be deleted when no longer needed. Like a page saver, bookmark or turning a corner in a book.

Finally bit the bullet and grabbed one of these guys from Show Z because I could not resist the price and I cannot complete the very first step of the transformation because there is a warped pin in one of his index fingers so it won't bend and there are stress marks on it right out the box. I suppose this is some sort of punishment for putting it off for so long and waiting until the already affordable price came down even further.

Was thinking about picking this up. How many versions are there of this mold and is it better to hunt down an older variant or are the new ones fine?

 

they have made about 6 repaints my latest purchase was the cell which I got in December of last year and feels pretty much the same as my element leader I got in 2020

Sorry for the OT but what's that spiky thing on the right?

 

Spiky gold figure is Cang Toys' Kinglion, their version of the Predacon Razorclaw. He's a little encumbered by all the spikes 'n stuff he's carrying, but otherwise an amazing figure.

The one in middle is Cang's Dasirius, who comes with Kinglion. He'll also serve as the foot of the completed combiner


And you can give Kinglion a glorious set of wings
