Those use the same assortment DPCI as the wave 1 deluxes, so no. Those would be put out as they come in. Stuff like Red Cog/metroplex/Motormaster came on pallets of toys SPECIFICALLY for the reset (as they are new DPCI's), which is why most stores havent put them out and havent been able to get them out of the back for people. They show the amount they have, but being on a pallet isnt a backroom location so itll show on their zebras like "2 on hand (0 on floor, 0 in back)", so they have no idea where they are/where to look. Fiancée said she feels sorry for the toy people. In other news, Western Hills Target had the Buzzworthy 4 pack out on the shelves. 3 of em.
Oh, I wasn't trying to imply that the wave 2's were anything special. I'm just wondering if Hasbro is shipping them along with everything else and Target's holding them back for the reset. Just because they use the same DPCI doesn't mean they'll put them out or that they aren't register locked if they do have them. Look at all the times sales couldn't go through and people had to scan other Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leaders to get the figures they wanted. Example: Earthrise Doubledealer. Still, my point was more aimed at Hasbro's part in it, not Target's. (Walmart does the same thing. I remember having to jump through hoops to get wave 2 of Combiner Wars Deluxes because their UPCs weren't unlocked, mind you, they shared the same SKU, much like Target shares DPCIs.) I also feel sorry for the toy people. This is a mismanagement problem, plain and simple. Customers should be able to go in and buy the stuff if it's available. Employees should be able to do their job and sell said stuff. It's the management that goes "Aw, screw you both. This is fun pitting you against each other. MUAHAHAHAHA!" I'm not even really bothered by Corporate. It's the local-level management that's always, ALWAYS the problem. Sometimes they can't sell an item, either street dated or register-locked for some valid reason, those I get. But the whole "yeah we have it, but Nah, I'm not gonna go get it for you" thing isn't valid. I can't tell you how many employees I've spoken to have said "Wait. What? That's our job. *I'll* go get it for you. Please wait right here, I'll be right back. How many do you need?" and boom...there it is.
Yeah most of them are cool- and being real? They just want things to do to waste their shift away doing. The only time I've ever gotten pushback that wasn't a reason you stated was when a case of new figures was on a pallet of other stuff up in the steel bulk shelves and they just didn't have the means to have access to it. Which is fair.
Has anyone seen Motormaster in or near Columbus today? No luck at Trueman, Sawmill, or Morse. Would appreciate any help.
I got super lucky and found one sitting lone on the shelf at Graceland just a couple days ago. Doubt they had more, but he is definitely showing up!
Do you think we've seen the end of Perceptor and Cliffjumper on shelves? They don't appear at any locations around me and the employees say there are no reported shipments. Itd make sense considering that all this new product is coming out so I wonder if my best bet at this point is Pulse. Feels like they were hardly on shelves to begin with though.
I still see perceptor every now and then. Haven’t seen cliffjumper since he came out though, only Kup.
Maybe its just a regional thing. There's definitely been less action in the northeast. I guess I'm more worried about Cliffjumper since idk if they wanna sell those 86 exclusives concurrently with the legacy ones.
Is he coming out in legacy? I don’t feel like the 86/buzzworthy line really affects legacy otherwise, they’re making money if you buy a buzzworthy or a legacy figure. I think sometimes they want people to have access to popular characters like releasing cliffjumper in buzzworthy, but then also sometimes completely miss the mark like releasing 3 or 4 waves with arcee or wheeljack in them to the point of saturation. Cliffjumper is pretty popular so I’m sure he’ll get another rerelease eventually or a new toy in an upcoming line
Absolutely. I've seen those pallets, they can be insane. Once in a while, though, you'll find someone with balls who will break into those pallets. My jaw dropped the first time I saw 'em do it. lol Buzzworthy Cliffjumper or Earthrise? If you're looking for Earthrise, I have one for sale for cheap. Oh, they're going to sell them as-is, concurrently. The exclusivity gives them access to different decos, remolds, and different accessories, plus they can carry the run-of-the-mill figures as well. It's a win-win for Target.
Any SKU or anything? I hate hunting at Walmart tbh I would rather just check their stock if there’s even a chance it’s right than drive around to every shitty Walmart near me
If my luck finding Red Cog is anything to go by then I’m screwed finding these guys as well and I really want Override. Called Morse Rd, E Broad St, & Westerville Targets and no Red Cogs in sight.
