Kaiyodo just updated their official Revoltech page with the June releases. I'm pretty sure that this is the first time there have been three non-exclusive releases in one month for the main line (except for the month the line debuted).
Bring em all on! MORE pics of the YF-19 and YF-21! Can you say PINPOINT BARRIER PAWWWWWWWNCH!?! http://ga.sbcr.jp/mgangu/009713/index.html#01
Which labors should I get? The recent movie versions or the old ones? Is there's even much of a difference between them? I want a Unit 2 and Unit 1 and eventually will collect both versions, but I would like to know differences between the two before shelling out $40+ for each pair.
Just get the new ones, basically the same but with more features and accessories. Definitely pick up the Zero, it's a great fig. And get the Griffon as well.
Awesome pics. I didn't realize they were actually coming with the pinpoint barrier stuff. Gonna go look so good in pictures. I can see how some wouldn't like the 21, but I don't get it for the 19. I love that design.
Now there's a question that needs answering. Are we seeing a Revoltech BAF here or is it just that the wings aren't pictured?
I would imagine that the wings may be coming with Tengen Toppa in August. I think July was just the Metal City trio.
That may be true as someone on a different forum just translated some of the Japanese text from forum with official pictures as saying that in order to create the GL FLight Version you have to buy Raz and one other figure. Then I wonder why someone just edited the Wikipedia page to say there will be a GL flight version in August? Maybe its really Tengen Toppa.
Well, it's not totally unprecedented - to get Giant Robo's rocket bazooka parts, you had to buy GR-2. This is really more of the same, just split along three releases instead of two. I'm looking forward to all these releases, the Valks look cool and the Razengan is pure awesome.
Oh yeah, this will be like the third or fourth time it's happened. Just not spread across more than one figure before... I don't mind, as I will be picking them up no matter what.
I always thought that was a really neat way of getting around the fact that a punch ought to straight up mangle a VF's fist. Of course if they were really thinking they could leave the actual punch out of it and just use the barrier as a close-range weapon, but hey, I don't write the stuff.
I thought they might have just missed the wings out of the picture because in the past it is usually one figure containing the extras for the previous 'linked' character from the range. A bit off to be putting it in with a third from the line but what else could they include with Tengen Toppa? Miniature versions of Arc and Chouchinga(sp?) Lagann? I saw the Full Drill GL earlier in the thread and thought it was Konami's die-cast Great Impact series GL which comes with 33 individual drills, wing pack and stand... Are they making a Revotech version too?
The first half of the Wing Pack will come with Razengan. The second half will be included with another GL related figure. Official pictures of the Razengan, YF-19, and YF-21 are out (thx to IXTL for link). http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html
