Spotted a freshly delivered case today.... just Op and Galvy  

 

Maybe this was just a one time offer. Until full release maybe in a few months.

I remember years ago when I was told Animated Shockwave was spotted in my town. I spent weeks calling stores and searching with no luck at all. Ended up finding him at a collector store in another town and sure enough about 2 months later I finally see him at retail.

 

The Blitzwing copies you may found around this time are likely limited early release at retail (like SS Grindor I found during July 2021).

 

What happened then? Can't remember.

 

I am just saying I was lucky to get a copy of SS Grindor early at Walmart in 2021. Only those who are in luck can find a copy of Legacy Blitzwing at US retail before this July.

 

Not doubting that Blitzwing was really found at retail, but it seems really shady that he hasn't shown up elsewhere. This kind of thing always feels like an unsolvable mystery, so frustrating.

 

DPCI? UPC?

Think people would need the UPC then to locate the exact figure instead of finding a Galvatron or Optimus?

 

Target can use a UPC or a DPCI to find figures. The DPCI will allow them to find the assortment in the store (if it's in stock) or see if it's on the way or available at another store. The one DPCI can be used to find all Legacy Leader figures. Every single wave, not just the first one, will share that DPCI. That's the problem, you have to call and confirm for sure they have Laser Optimus or Galvatron or Blitzwing, you can't take "we have it in stock" at face value.

Walmart does the same thing with UPCs. You can have them run it, they'll tell you they have 5 of them, then you walk in and find out it is 5 Bulkheads or a bunch of SS86 Hot Rod/BB Soundwave, you get the idea.

Individual is more for the online sales portion at Target.com. Store-level can use those to find them, but they'll even tell you that it's part of an assortment and they may not have that specific one. The only times a DPCI works for a specific figure is if it's exclusive, a Commander Class, or a Titan Class as they're solid cases of the same figure. Assorted figures will always have this problem.

Where the hell is this guy? A couple of weeks ago I thought he was imminently about to be shipped out to me from one of the 3 places I preordered him from...now, nothing.

 

It’s not a matter of if he’ll reach you but when. Wave 2’s begun to trickle out relatively newly, and even then, Blitzwing’s very likely to get repacked, if not in Wave 3, in general, seeing as there’s a repack listing.

 

Any recent sightings in CA?
