No, not vac-metal, but similar (and with much the same end result) - they call it heat-stamp foil, and it is hot metal stamped onto the plastic like a tampograph. This was announced in the May update video.

Really? I just saw a pre-sale auction for Victory Saber end at £150. That's even less than his original price.  

 

Honestly, ebay should just block all presale listings for stuff like this.
Their own policy says "30 days" as the delivery deadline.
Which all these sellers can't do.
I hold no sympathy for anyone who "bought" Victory Saber through one of those listings.

Yep. At best you may luck in to someone who got cold feet and needs to unload, but anyone who bought an extra at the time did so explicitly to sell to anyone who didn't get in on the ground floor. And, if past projects are any indication, most will charge at least double the cost. Because they'll want to use the sale of the second to pay off BOTH.

And you know what, that's fine. This isn't a case where scalpers are gobbling up stock. If they didn't buy that second unit, it wouldn't have been made. So they took the risk buying extras and are allowed to charge whatever the market will bear.

 

You do know some people may have bought an extra to display the different modes together.

Yeah, for some people buying an extra for another mode is the primary reason. These are not contradictory.

Yes, I got a replacement head from them for my Unicron (the faceplate tabs snapped off). It was very painless and free.
