Okay tbf I’ve just dealt with a lot of rudeness in the last little bit (not on this site) and so I definitely overreacted. Sorry. Already feeling negative provokes more negative ig. Sorry.

 

Oof that\'s an ugly vehicle mode. I feel like a deluxe in the size range of wfc trilogy cliffjumper/ bumblebee is the only way you could pull it off properly

 

Honestly it looks very similar to the DNA Design version.

 

Yikes........ .....when Wheelie got more junk in that trunk.  

 

I believe the front end is the worst aspect of the alt-mode. It's very short, and it makes it look incomplete.

 

Oh man, I was so hoping it'd get better with more looks, but every angle of the robot mode aside from the front is a mess thanks to kibble on the bustle and the boots, awkward Popeye forearms with a clip-in wheel showing on the outside, and an oddly underpainted waist area. Then there's the vehicle mode which is just not working thanks to an all around weird shape, the vehicle nose formed from the robot feet just surrounded by blocks of parts, the windshield not facing forward at all, and the robot fists sticking out the back. Hard pass.

 

I mean... kinda? aside from the color and kneecaps though, I feel like it's a bit of a wash for what's "more accurate"

and while you might say proportions are more accurate on the new figure, i'd counter that they'r much better on the old one. But all things aside, the sharpness of the TR head sculpt alone would win me over this new one.

also: it's incomplete, which makes it look incomplete.

 

I do not disagree, but as a desperate Wheelie bro I'll be snagging two.  

The previous Wheelie is pretty godlike, and I still have burns from my friend roasting me when I purchased him at Midwest Gaming Classic years ago.

 

I just found my legends Wheelie still MISB among my stuff. The box a lil dinged up but he’s still in there. Still will grab this wheelie. Always like him as a character even in Headmasters…

 

It looks like the desire to give him a different Transformation has resulted in some issue with the final appearance in both modes. also the colour are a bit odd. but that said overall I like it. for what it is. and is certainly not any worse than his closest eqivellent "Buzzworth Bumblebee" "Core class" (size) Bumblebee. I think for anyone unsure he's an improvement over the existing "accessory" Wheelie for the Dinobots.

Though I am keen to see what Mech Studio / Doctor Wu can do with the character as well.

I think it wouldn't be "essential" to do that many Minibots - nice - but not mega essential - I prefer the tiny deluxes instead.
I think it might be more fun to pick some small sub-group characters like Guzzle, Fizzle & Sizzle and do those instead of something that we already had in the last decade.

If Hasbro were really creative and clever they could canonise the minspies as new characters - that would be a lovely thing to have as core class I feel.

 

You know, it almost looks to me like there's a missing partsforming part on the front of the car. Add that and it would be decently cartoon-accurate.

 

I\'m reserving judgement until I have him in hand.  These weird factory grabs don\'t really give me a feel for the thing.  He looks a bit janky, but a lot of toys have and ended up being fantastic in hand.  When it comes to Wheelie, I really don\'t have a dog in the fight, I\'m happy with G1, CHUG, TR/L already, and the Accessory that came with Grim is fine too.  I don\'t think we really need this, but I\'ll see what he has to offer once I pick him up.  

 

I still have the Legacy version and that's perfection in Hasbro terms but if I had the opportunity would definitely go third party. Cause who ever engineered the new Wheelie failed going up.

Was just going to state the fact they had this guy being worked on supposedly while giving people “Constipated Wheelie” with SS86 Grimlock was a horrid idea, but then I saw this Wheelie’s ass…

 

Yeah, I’m definitely sticking with my LG Wheelie. Although I might pick this one up to check out, and maybe use as a victim to toss to the Sharkticons.

Wouldn’t mind seeing the mold used as a base for a short Junkion though.
