I am so excited for this figure!

 

It's a small thing, but it bothers me that the inner robot's autobot logo is on the right, whilst the armor's one is the left

 

Evil Ultra Magnus 

 

The black colored fists allow them to blend a bit into the trailer and makes them look less obvious.

 

Tbh I would've liked a splash of yellow on the legs.

 

Purple logos on a dark body are practically invisible unless they are printed in a metallic ink or are white backed - I can barely even see his logos which I guess just encourages you to buy two and sticker them both up.

I can think of an accessory that would have been 10 times better for this guy and that is the Autobot logo and shield that was an accessory included wth an obscure DOTM Voyager Optimus - it would suit this guy so much more than the lackluster Legacy weapons do.

Even more so with that locking tab preventing most toys from holding the sword unless they have an semi-open or opening hand.

 

This mold is clunky but it definitely has charm. He'll probably be my only SG figure since I really just want to slap him on the Diaclone shelf.  

 

Looking forward to this as my Delta Magnus, don't get me wrong, but the inner bot just makes me crave an ER Optimus animation error edition where he's completely blue. It would just look amazing in the way the inner bot hints to but can't pull off.

 

I need you to explain your line of thinking on this one. How does second head = stop motion?

 

Yeah so here is the idea. Magnus on a mission blah blah blah. Then Megatron nails him strait into the head. Ratchet tries to fix him and boom skull face. To be honest I didn't think it out the best but it is a good stop motion idea.

 

As plain and simple as it is, I am in LOVE with the kingdom Magnus inner prime. His funnee square shape just gets me. I wish I could buy just the blue inner prime, or the actual optimus colors one (but that things stupid expensive and comes with an ugly Stand I don't need)

 

I'm not a fan of guns in non neutral colors, but that's a me problem and, otherwise the figure look amazing.

 

So what I need Todo is buy a 3rd party matrix memory insert for this guy

 

Looks pretty cool. I do wish this were the siege version over the earth mode magnus though

 

My only problem with this is that the purple insignia gets washed out on the red. I wish it was outlined in black or something, just so it would pop. 

 

on the bright side, this one has an insignia.

 

I’m seriously considering getting this as my Delta Magnus/Magna Convoy Grail. It’s the first affordable option and I’ve been waiting on one since 2013. Shattered Glass isn’t something I can work with, so when I get this, I’m instantly taking paint remover to the decals, as Diaclones aren’t Autobot or Decepticons, just themselves, and then I’m going to do see what can be done about all that clear red, specifically the windows which I understand makes sense for Shattered glass but I’d like to see if you can tint plastic and if so how dark you can make it. I’ll try something else for the visor to make it orange. The visor is quite small so it may not be worth it. I already have Kingdom Magnus so I’ll either see if I can paint his gun black or just give him that gun instead. Aside from those changes this is perfect and it’s what I’ve been waiting for. Now that I think about it, I think I’ll spray that sword and axe of his silver as well, I’d resin cast it blue if I had the means to do so.

 

Really tempted to PO another one to have both SG Magnus and Delta for my Diaclone crew.

Amazing how having 2 colors helps the inner bot look better.

 

He’s looking great. Can’t wait for this guy. I do wish the Delta Magnus head had yellow eyes, though. Might need to paint those, or perhaps Reprolabels will make a set fir a less permanent option.

That’s what I did. Gotta have both.   And because I had an extra set of Earthrise Magnus armor sitting around, I snapped out the blue chest windows and plan to swap ‘em on to the Delta version.

It’s accurate to Ultra Magnus, though. He pretty much always has the symbol on his left shoulder for the inner bot, and the right shoulder for the armored mode. Not that that makes it any less bothersome, haha… I agree that it’s always felt a little odd to have that mismatch.   But at least it’s an established precedent.
