Too bad, because four of them have easy parallels. Scrapper - payloader - ? Hook - crane - Crain Brain Long Haul - dump truck - Dumper Bonecrusher - bulldozer - Dozer Mixmaster - cement mixer - Blockhead Scavenger - excavator - ? Probably could've used Steamer and Spoons for the other two.
nice i have the original when one of the local department stores went out of business in the 90\'s. cool packaging. lame names. someone fire the translator
Because the names are either probably too "on the nose" or the names are taken somewhere else and they get around that by putting the name "Autobot" on the front.
I agree. At least four would work and the other two would have to be nameslaps...but considering that Gobots was a Tonka licensed product in the States, it feels like a missed opportunity.
Ugh. So close but yet so far. I’d have really liked it more as the G2 boxset we never got in the 90s. Would have been ideal for the 30th anniversary of G2 coming up. Blown opportunity. SMH
Some how with the names, it being an Autobot, and the g2 yellow thing, this is to me the goofiest crossover figure yet and freaking love it. I can\'t help but want one.
Now im on the fence... I only Pre-ordered one! I never double dip to keep in the box, but this one... I love the packaging!
You know that meme of Spiderman pointing at himself from the late 60's? I want that but with the Constructicons and the Tonkanator guys all pointing at eachother.
It does, but I’m thrown off by the fact that there’s no TF x (insert crossover brand here) logo on the front of the box like the other Collaborative toys have. It’s $105. Transformers Collaborative: Tonka Mash-up - Tonkanator (target Exclusive) : Target
"skyhook" is a thing (basketball term I believe) and "Mega Dozer" may not be specific enough on its own. I'll probably never open mine now. The novelty of the Tonka logos was one thing, but it will be more fun displayed like this.
So, people who are complaining about the prices of this figure don't really understand that it's not just normal inflation. Question 1: What are most plastics made off? Answer: Petroleum/Oil Question 2: What is the major thing that is politically significant at this current point in time? Answer: Gas Prices Question 3: What is Gasoline made of? Answer: Oil So, the gas prices are linked to the plastic prices. And we all know the gas prices are higher. Meanwhile, Oil Prices aren't just affecting the prices of the plastics, they are also affecting the transportation of the figures. I mean, the Transformers Figures are mostly made in China. Thus, they need to be transported across the Pacific Ocean to the United States, where they get distributed across the world. This means that oil prices do affect more than just the price of the plastic. $105 Dollars is not that expensive in the big picture. Especially considering that they are rereleasing the G1 Constructicon Molds. So, if I could, I'd buy the Tonkonstructicons or the ConstrucTonkons. Of course, I am very easy to impress, so I may not be the best judge for this.
