Reminds me of poses in Pat Lee’s “art style”.

 

They did the same weird shit with Virtus. The originally showed a figure in their renders that was perfectly colored then somewhere along the way they go insane and totally ruin them. At least the nearly year long delay with Virtus allowed them to somewhat correct them, albeit they are also not perfect or as good as their original renders showed for him, but at least they are close. This thing's colors are just vomit educing to me because it's just wrong on multiple levels.  

If their G2 Groove came out like that picture i'd have literally nothing to say and no real complaints. They even have the arms a correct color. Watch them re-release another G2 version of Groove in the correct colors....  

 

The heroic crotch thrust is a staple pose of only the purist transformers collectors. It's right up there with heft and exclusivity in regard to knowing you have a quality piece that should be the envy of your peers.

 

I think if the only thing stopping you from getting this figure is color, you should still just buy it. Loads of color blind folks out there. There's probably some champion out there who loves G2 Megs bc they love his orange and blue cammo.

 

Okay, so firstly, don’t conflate colorblind people with liking the “bad” colorschemes.
But secondly, I am colorblind and I love the shit out of G2 decos.  

No but for real. Colorblindness is a not “black and white” like a lot of people think. For some, like me, I am technically almost completly colorblind, but I can see color.

 

I hate to repeat myself, but I really do wish we had more knowledge of how well Hot Spot/Defensor will end up in execution before going in on a combiner. These still both look great (although I do wish Groove had the silver arms, if only for alt mode) and if I was at TFCon this year I'd probably get it. As it stands, I'll just sit here and hope it all turns out good and maybe I'll backtrack on the set once we know more.

 

In truth, you can collect all five and never bother with turning them into their combined form.

If this ended up being what they showed on the box i'd have bought it instantly but since it's not i'm gonna pass on it. Probably gonna pass on the rest of their "G2" Protectobot figures as well. Gotta say this is really annoying because I was looking forward to this one the most.

 

Its a shame that I am a sucker for G2. Bought instantly even though I hate the yellow...

Looks like XTB is doing the same with this G2 set as with the Stunticons - using the toon mold where (IMO) the Youth mold would be far more appropriate.
And on these guys, it looks really flat and blocky to me.

 

Got mine today. The yellow looks like drying mustard. Not bad and not at all Brandon's fault. Just need to get the eyes checked of the guy in charge of coloring at the factory

 

I ended up skipping it. If they make an orange one i'll continue with their G2 stuff but that may be it for me with G2 Fuzz.

 

I am not making fun or making light of color blindness. I am saying that since color is already fake, why have that be a factor in your decision making?

 

Color blindness aside, different people see different colors and shades. Anyone remember the gold dress from 10 years ago or so?
