Also I just noticed how slick that move was from Bee. At first I thought he gave a weak knee kick but he actually put his leg behind Crosshairs' leg to more easily knock him over.

Got mine in, laid up in bed so only casually messing about with it.

I do wonder if the missing license plate and wheels being inaccurate are a licensing thing? There's zero GM affiliated logos across or within the packaging and while it might not transform, everyone knows what it's meant to be. Maybe a way of getting around that? Just spitballing the idea.

 

No licensing? So I'm guessing this is just barely NOT a Chevy logo?

 

I can taste the salt in that tone all the way across the ocean. Like I said, just spitballing the idea and trying to figure out why some obvious changes were made. That emblem knocks my thinking on the head, blink and you'll miss it sizing all the same. I hadn't even spotted it on my figure until your pic.

But yeah, no changes make sense. And Bee is great regardless.

 

I'm so glad they went with this TLK design over his AOE equivalent. There are enough similarities between this Bumblebee and the designs from the first three films (especially DOTM) for him to not feel like such an anomaly alongside ROTF Prime.

He's almost like a Greatest Hits version of his Bayverse self.

 

Agreed! Outside of his AoE design, only pieces of him that really change are his chest, doors and sometimes his lower "wings", which are either made up of his spoiler or smaller windows.

And I guess his head did get a bit bigger, or chest got smaller, but I cant complain about that. I guess that's why he also looks less beefed in comparison with DOTM Bee.
So he only ends up barely out of place.

 

Actually yeah, the regular Chevrolet logo has each end pointing a different direction. The left end points down and the right end points up. On this Bee both ends are pointing down. It's supposed to be more of a rhombus but on Bee it looks more like a trapezoid.

 

Well I guess that's one way to avoid licensing.

 

I wonder how Crosshairs would react to seeing Bee holding his own against Prime. Maybe he'd finally gain some respect for him? Damn you TLK and your wasted opportunities!

I honestly think he'd find a way to blame Bee and call him a damn fool for even trying to fight Prime. Lol
Same goes for how Drift would react.
They both have the same opinion on Bee.
Drift says everything's gone to shit under Bee's command and Crosshairs puts all blame on Bee for things not going smoothly with TRF. And if they caught Bee fighting Prime they'd have no nice words. Lol
And I assume Hound would be a bit heated since Prime's the Big Boss Bot.

 

Just took a closeup of my copy (in case it could've just been a molding fault or paint giving that impression on such a tiny part) and yeah, absolutely been changed.



So perhaps that also explains the wheels and plate now?

 

And it's the deadest, most boring Chevy logo I have ever seen in a figure. Even my Leader dotm bee has a better one

 

Yh but tbh I'd have preferred if they had gone with dotm, for me that's the highest of Bay Bee. Also, tlk Bee is smh less bulky than the others, which is another reason for me prefering the option of a dotm one. Unfortunately I don't see it happening (btw I guess that's why I found the proportions of the DLX figure a bit different of what I remembered Bay Bee: I didn't know or remember tlk Bee was less bulky)

I was thinking it could've served as an opportunity for character development, though I suppose that would be too much to expect from TLK.

And I don't think they could find a way to blame Bee for Prime being brainwashed, even their pettiness has to have its limits lol
Insulting him for trying to fight does seem pretty likely though. Still, I doubt either of them would've lasted as long as Bee did.

 

This figure is really tempting. I really enjoy the stylization of the design, and as usual, ThreeZero knocked it out of the park
