This is gold, thank you. And certainly a bit more nuanced than 'TT are carrying Hasbro' and suchlike.

This really stood out for me in Mark's IG post.
A mantra we can hopefully take forward into the speculation threads.

He'd be an awesome repaint of Override... 1e28b258b86096c18d0c15cff5a1c866--larger.jpg

Possibly share a mold with Boss...

The head just poking up out of the alt mode bugged me on the original figure, and it bugs me now.
What's the point of making a new figure of an old character if you don't improve on their flaws?
(Although with figures like the new Blitzwing, I guess they're fine with adding all new flaws to characters they've released multiple times already.)

Oh well. Hasbro hasn't a single new idea in their heads, so I'm sure they will make another Override the next time they need to scrape the bottom of the rehash barrel, and maybe they'll do a better job.
(After they repaint this mold as Bumblebee once or twice, I'm sure.)

IDK I think they definitely improved on the original in pretty much ever way.

Also the reason they didn’t get rid of her head sticking out is because it’s like that in the cartoon as well.

Plus she's not in a disguise, so why bother trying to fully conceal her head?

Ah, so that's an idea how the figure would've looked if they used SS86 Hot Rod...

Yeah, going with a new figure was the best decision.

I don't think things are more fluid, we're just getting leaks deeper and earlier than we have in the past. Combine that with the design team starting to pull back the curtain on the process and it just feels like things are fluid because stuff typically doesn't just pop up on shelves anymore.

I mean from my perspective things have definitely become more fluid the past 12-18months.

Based purely on the past 7-8years or so my friends been passing me info, there's definitely a trend towards more frequent and bigger last minute changes.

I think it's a good thing tbh, I feel the team are trying to be more proactive - stretching budgets further than ever as seen with Override/Cosmos, and listening to fan feedback to improve things in future waves.

Umm ... are people blind? Those areas ARE HOLLOW.

Here is a link to an upgrade kit to fill in all of the hollow spaces on the figure.

8PCS Replenish Upgrade Kit For War for Cybertron EarthRise WheelJack Kingdom | eBay

Those areas would not even be hollow just a few years back. Hell even when they hollowed out the thighs they would put in "honeycomb" plastic to fill out SOME of the thigh. Now that's completely gone too in all modern figures.

This looks fantastic, remolds have come so far. I had Nitro Convoy. UT Fans rejoice! I can\'t wait until we get to Animated.

All Transformers toys are hollow... You just don't see it sometimes because the limbs and torso are made of multiple pieces of plastic held together by pins or screws.

If hollow plastic and robots with shapely girl butts is what it takes to keep certain people out of this hobby so they'll bitch at something else constantly, then I welcome it...

Dude, I mean some figures have egregious hollows Wheeljack isn't one of them.

The 2 gaps pointed out by your link are absolutely necessary for Transformation.

But what he does have, that is not often emphasized enough by this community is a fun and slick transformation.

If it’s really that great, I’ll pick it up when it’s available again in Wave 4. I won’t hesitate to return it though.

I never return figures, even TR Broadside.

As much as I want an IDW Getaway, Override doesn’t suit him the best. The transformation for the arms are similar, but the rest is too different for it to work. Boss could work, and although he wouldn’t look 100% accurate, I doubt too many would legitimately mind.

As someone who has recently took apart a Wheeljack to custom, I can confirm the knees are pinned. It's only the weird window pieces that uses the mushroom caps and the thigh swivel. ( hope I remembered the correct term)

Could be better, but it's decent imo

The early sketches are really neat to see! As they are it definitely wouldn't have been great (although still way better than the worst-case-scenario I'd been imagining), but if they'd remolded the lower legs and rear of the car a bit too I think it would've been pretty decent. Really glad we got the all-new mold though of course.

Well, yes, that is what he's complaining about. You can see the hollow areas on modern toys.

Arguing the pedantic of "all toys are hollow" is pointless when it's blatantly obvious from context that it's visible empty spaces that are unappealing.
