Imagine having this much packing paper but the item still gets dented/bit crushed cause said packing paper was only on one side! It probably was a contributing factor with how tightly packed it was. Rofl at least the forest hideout was only mildly dinged.
Do you guys think the Delorean will come back in stock any where? Maybe hit some of the big retail stores this summer?
The 23rd street NYC store, had it in stock last weekend. I was there thinking about it, ended up with OP.
I can stop by the store today, and if it is in stock, do you want me to buy it for you (cost & shipping)?
Somehow missed that it was double points week. I got an e-mail notification that Diagon Alley was back in stock. Ordered since it's been OOS forever and is old enough to be on the chopping block. Got almost $50 in VIP points. Bring on the Castle!
For those interested in the DeLorean, I spoke with the 23rd street and Rockafella Center NYC store inventory Manger this afternoon (she was at the 23rd street store and the DeLorean was sold out), she told me that to call both stores on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays as that is when both stores receive inventory deliveries. The stores will not put the item on hold, but the store can ship directly to you.
I appreciate the offer but I will wait and see if it comes back to retail. I’m in Portland so I don’t pay sales tax so that plus shipping is a big savings if I am just patient. And if it doesn’t come back I can live with that.
It will definitely come back in stock, it's just a matter of when, not if. The set came out on April 1, just 3 months ago. Lego sets stick around for 18+ months. You haven't missed your chance.
I was reading the brothers brick review on this Ninjago set and realized these blade pieces would be absolutely perfect for a Lego Bayverse style Optimus The Galaxy Explorer looks so good because it is designed by Mike Psiaki. He always integrates the most advanced geometry and interesting techniques for fitting unexpected shapes together into his sets. At first I was gonna skip it because $100 is very expensive, but when I learned Psiaki was the lead designer, I'm now all in. I make it a point to collect as many of his sets as I can because they're always an extremely satisfying building experience. You can find him on Flickr, although he hasn't posted since he started working at Lego, but his old custom stuff is so interesting
Okay noob question for the day. Going to the Lego store in St Louis next week and I know u can buy boxed sets there but do they sell individual lego parts and bricks or is that an online only thing?
If it is like my Lego Store near me they should have a brick wall with random pieces in bin things you can buy by the container. They have a smaller cup like container and a larger cup. Not sure how that store will handle it but during the peak of COVID my store used to have a list you fill out with which bin number you wanted a half scoop or full scoop of to fill the cup. The last time I went in they were back to normal where you could reach in yourself to pull out pieces to fill the cup. My store also has a Minifigure contraption (no idea of a better way to describe it) that allows you to make three Minifigures from parts. It is made in a way that makes it hard to grab a handful and steal them. Edit: I forgot to say that you pay for the size of cup you want to fill. So try to stuff as much into them as you can.
If you're looking for a very specific part, then the odds that the store will be selling it in the bins is going to be low. That said, there was this one time I needed a lot of grey. Like, a lot of grey, and they had a whole bunch of grey pieces that day - a couple of different pieces and shapes, and they just worked. I bought three cups of grey, and I won't ever plan on that working out again!
I wish they would do a landscapes themed Classic box of bricks concentrating on brown, tan, grey, green, black and white.
Yeah thats not gonna work for me. I'm trying to build a new moc and need specific pieces. I thought they'd be in separate bins, guess thar would be a lot to keep up with for the employees
