I think she's kinda great, she isn't in anyway immodestly dressed or immodestly posed she just looks cool and street smart and "fun" she also has georgous blue eyes - so props for the way they rendered those into the deco so nicely.

If one want's an "explanation" as to why she exists there is plenty of headcanons one can come up with to explain her.

I just think she's a really cool chick and she has the added benefit of opening up Optimus Prime as a legitimate female cosplay that can be considered "canon" now so - I don't think a bunch of young woman walking around dressed like this can be ever considered a bad thing.

I'd certainly 'Gush' if I saw one.

Honestly, my one issue with people hating on female anime figures is that they're basing their hate on a misconception that anime girls = inherently sexy, even though they might be very conservatively dressed, and that the people who collect them are pervs. Yes, most, if not all, of them are "aesthetically pleasing," but that's par for the course for almost every fictional character meant for mass-market appeal, male or female.

I can't speak for every anime figure collector out there, but for me and most of the collectors I know, it's more about who and what the figure represents, more so than the actual figure itself. While an outsider might look at a figure and go "figure of generic anime girl number 10," that figure is almost always a physical representation of a character from an anime series, manga, etc... with a full backstory and hours upon hours of character development and/or story behind her. But that's not all.

Every one of the anime figures in my collection is of a character who spoke to me on a personal level or whose shows I thoroughly enjoyed. When I look at an anime figure on my shelf, I'm reminded of a character who I spent a significant amount of time getting to know over the course of an anime series and the memories that are associated with it, be it the laughs and tears, the childhood nostalgia, or some of the best shared experiences with family and friends. To have that invalidated and trivialized to "only perves collect anime figures" is frankly insulting.

For this particular bishojo Optimus figure, I'm buying her not because "sexy anime girl," but because it's an amalgamation of two of my biggest loves - anime and Transformers. Can't get really any more perfect than this! (^o^)

Same. I'd be, "Well, I hope the folks who like Nightscream like his new toy," and that'd be it. Happy for them, but not buying it.

As for me? Preordered. I think she and the Megatron ones look fantastic.
