Right, but the Deluxe line in Cyberverse was the same engineering you'd expect from a traditional Generations figure. "Warrior" came first, and was the simplified transformations with an additional gimmick unique to the character.

So EarthSpark's "Deluxe" line would likely be the same level of engineering as other Deluxe figures, while this new $11-12 class would be something different.

Because HasTak has worked really hard over the past few years to keep those pricepoint names uniform across lines. You'll note that for all of the toys that Cyberverse had, they never used the same names as the Generations/Studio price points.

Until Deluxe, and only then because they were the same price/engineering.

I can see some Animated aesthetic in this still image and I like it.

True enough just hope they look a tad better than those though.

Any theories on what the voyager Studio Series Bumblebee could be? A transforming legless bee with Longarm is the only thing I can come up with, but let's be real it ain't that.

BB has been code for the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line at Target - but the character isn't necessarily Bee (see Legacy Bluestreak, Dinobot, etc).

The Cyberverse Deluxes? Those were fantastic. They weren't accurate to the show, but that was often because they were based on earlier concept art. But they're all very solid figures. Especially some of the later ones like Slug and Thunderhowl.

I don't think its Bumblebee as in "Its the character Bumblebee". I think it is as in "From the Bumblebee Movie".

My hope is because it is Nest 2 it means its a character getting a second figure... so it will be Cybertronian Mode Optimus. Retool of the BB Movie SS Optimus Earth Mode figure to go with all the other Cybertronian Figures.

Next option for a voyager would be Shockwave from the Bee movie but I have my doubts.

My fear though is it is going to be a repaint of Blitzwing.

It's "Nest 2" because "Nest 1" was that Bumblebee Deluxe. Similar to how "Project Trooper 1" was HISS Megatron while Bee is "Project Trooper 3."

...crap, its going to be Blitzwing or Optimus in black and gray.

EDIT: That said I suppose anyone wanting to make a diorama setup of Blitzwing having killed Bee and Optimus will have corpses...

If it's the SS38 mold those wouldn't be terrible options. Depending on deco a lot of people would probably love to have a Bayverse Nemesis.

Just didnt do it for me, not that we saw many of them in the UK. The Slag one appeared in discount stores and it looked awful. But thats a personal thing I guess.

If they're giving us a deluxe line of figures for Earth Spark, similar to the Cyberverse one then im definitely getting them.

Loved collecting the Cyberverse deluxes, they were fun and had a charm to them and a good few were accurate, even if they could've done with more paint (like hot rod for instance) and some other figures weren't 100% accurate and distribution in the UK and Ireland was a bit of a pain.

Still, I'm liking the asthetic and bot designs for Earth Spark so potentially more accurate toys with good articulation is good news, interesting to see figures for the new characters and especially Elita and Optimus as I'm liking their designs in particular

Is there a chance this new SS listing could be a second SDCC exclusive? Maybe to coincide with the 2007 movie's 15th anniversary?

I'd say these Earthspark deluxes will be the same deal as Cyberverse. No real unified scale, just something more articulated and better designed than the usual kiddie stuff.

You couldn’t have summed it up better. These designs just aren’t for me, each of them look like they belong in an entirely different show.

Maybe the kids transform? like in animated? right? a girl became a transformer or something? anyways, I hope its either a voyager shockwave (nest could mean his eye socket) or a SS Ironhide repaint or SS BB Optimus. Blitzwing would be cool since I missed out on him.

I'm not totally in tune with current trends in kids television, but it's possible the "EarthSpark" refers to some connection the kids have to the Cybertronians. A popular storybeat tends to be "kids unlock the power in their partner to do ___."

So it's possible we'll get a scenario where the kids themselves aren't Transformers, but they have a bond with a protoform and help it transform somehow. However, if they're "humans" who have the ability to become Transformable characters, then we're talking something like Digimon Frontier or that Netflix Reboot show and that's probably as close to a modern take on Pretenders we'll get.
