HOLY SHIT!!!!!! You just blew me away with the links to that story. I use to live in Sunnyvale(right down the street from the TRU) and I use to be in there all the time! But here is the thing that has me weirded out. TRUE STORY!!!!! I was in the store walking down the aisles looking for Marvel Legends, and just browsing the aisles, as I walked by the wrestling figures 2 of them just fell of the shelf at my feet. So i thought nothing of it and put them back on the peg. As I was putting those 2 up, another 2 fell, I was like "Wow haha , I am clumsy" So i go to pick up the next 2 and 2 more fall! NO LIE!!! So now i squated down because it was like 6 figures on the floor, and a lady with a cart pushes down the end of the aisle and looks and me and smiles and says, "having a hard time huh" and I was like "Yeah its one of those days" But during our exchange nothing falls. So I'll be damned if I go to pick up the wrestling figs again, and WAM 2 more fall right off the pegs around me... at this point I look at all the figs around me, and was like "mannnnn F$@K it" I just assumed the pegs were broken, but they kept falling from different ones, and always 2 at a time!!!!! I thought it was strange, but hearing about this brought back the memory SOOOO vividly that I had to share it with you guys! WOW! Hella cool and creepy!

HA! I used to live right across the parking lot from that TRU in those apartments.
That haunted TRU story is old to Bay area natives...funny to see it re-surface again. I remember that whack-job Sylvia Brown (psychic) even did a tv special on it...of course nothing happened :lol

...and to be on topic, the only thing I've seen new is a single Premium Prime and Megs at a Kmart for 45.99 (damn they like to boost their retail prices, don't they?)

Ha!! You said "hella cool". That brings back memories of when I attended U.C. Santa Cruz years ago. Everyone up north says it. When I first heard it I was like "WTF does that mean?" Now I just laugh everytime I hear or see it. :lol

I want to go to TRU to check out the Exclusives, but I'm saving that money for Animated. It's horribly tempting, but I'll manage.

Oh, and I haven't seen anything new at all, just those pug-ugly Allspark Deluxes at Target.

Does anyone know of any vintage toy shops that are located in Los Angeles? (ie ones that sell original G1 items carded/boxed etc as well as other old action figures)

I'm asking because I always used to read "Action Figure News and Toy Review" and remember seeing all these advertisements for actual stores that stocked vintage carded Transformers items. Where are all these stores located?

Has anyone compiled a list anywhere of vintage toy shops in the USA? I'm also going to New York and San Francisco.

Just clarifying I'm not talking about normal toy stores...like Walmart or Toys R Us. I'll find those easy enough. I'm talking ones that have the old stuff...G1 1984-87 and Thundercats...G I Joes etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you are going to be near San Jose (50 mi south of SF) there's Space Cat Comics and Time Tunnel toys. Space cat's TF selection is kinda small compared to Time Tunnel's but they are two stores down from each other so it doesn't hurt to check out.

    West Los Angeles

TRU on La Cienega and TRU on Jefferson both had the big planes (Jetstorm & Wingblade). One of them had Incinerator too, can't remember which one. Both stores had lots of screen battles. They also had lots of Deluxes, Voyagers and Leaders, ranging from wave 1 to newer stuff, but I didn't find any premiums.

There are a few places I've had luck in finding things:

Frank and Sons Collectible Show in Industry: Wednesday 3-9 and Saturday 10-5 I believe.
Phat Collectibles and Gotta Have It have some items too. These stores are located on opposite sides of the corner of Beach and Ball near Knott's Berry Farm.

Frank and Sons is by far the best place to find what you're looking for, although some of the sellers can be huge d-bags and insist their "authentic" G1 figs are the real thing and not KOs.

Stopped by Sunnyvale TRU on the way home...nothing I'm really looking for but I thought I'd see if they had the new exclusives.

They have nothing newer than Evac/Incinerator/Offroad Ironhide.

For Iron Man, lots of dress up stuff, and all I saw on casual glance was the Prototype and Mark 3 armor figures. For Joes, they had a few Buzzer, a few Serpentor, more of the 5 figure packs, and 3 of the Scarlett 2-packs.

    No ghostly sightings, sadly.

Nope...no sign of Deep Space Starscream yet. In fact, the Premiums seem to be scarce right now in any capacity.

From the look of him, he appears to be molded from the same sort of metallic plastic as Premium Megatron...which is kinda cool, but I still hate the Starscream mold too much to buy any of them for myself.

looks better than the tan original colors. I'd buy Megatron (tho I wish there was a new head), but the wife said only movie Starscream, and Animated Starscream and earth-mode Prime, then I am forced to retire from toy collecting.

That's the point where instead I'd be forced to retire from wife having.

TRU in Van Nuys has both TRU exclusives (at least 3 of each)
