I used for this work: Ultra Cyberverse Shockwave limbs, Authentics Alpha Shockwave torso and wings, a Dremel power tool, some Lego pieces and random bits and a lot of work. Shockwave features two different altmodes a powerful space gun and a battle cruiser, both with different configurations. Also features two different arm cannons and a radar dish. This is great. I picked up a Generations Exclusive Cyber Battalion Shockwave as it's cheap. I have an intention of doing a figure hack. Two questions: 1 What Lego parts did you use? I want to say it seems the ball joints for the arms? I've never looked at a Cyberverse Shockwave in hand. 2. Is that an articulated hand? What did you use if so?
Thank you! Cyber Battalion Shockwave is such a nice figure but has some flaws, and all you gotta do to make it better is to articulate his biceps (rotation) and knees (has no knee bend). You can also find a lot of good examples of customized Cyber battalion figures here in this phorum, including two versions I made a few years ago. I don't like it's head and the way it transforms though, as I prefer the classic transformation where his arms together form the gunbarrel instead of his legs. 1 - For this work I use Lego for the arm cannon and the dish radar attached to his backpack, all balljoints are native from the figures. I used the torso of Authentics Alpha Shockwave and the limbs came from the Ultra Cyberverse version, which I modified so they'd fit better in terms of better proportions. The balljoints of both figures are fully compatible tough. 2 - The hand is articulated and used to belong to an old MP Rodimus Prime figure.
Another update: Added a sight, removed the pink paint all around, painted his eye gold and added side fins to his front barrel for the battle cruiser mode. Now I’m pondering whether I paint his chest panel or not…
