I've changed his logo several times because nothing ever looks right. Settled on the Toyhax label which I usually hate because of the excess silver on the top. But it works best.

 

That would be the one I change it to if I go silver outline, I also don't like these ones because of the excess at the top, it's what I have on fraudo. though he might actually benefit from a plain white outline and let his natural purple show through like on these two but I'm not 100% sure on it yet.

 

I also have these MTMTE metallic ones. I would have used these on the whole team, but the Toyhax set only came with a few purple ones and the rest were gold. My Combaticons are a hodgepodge of logo styles.

 

They are nice, like the look of those ones

 

They recaptured the g1 proportions and style so well.

That's weird given their rrp is $100. Guess they're cutting off whatever import tax was being charged as part of their price listing or something.

 

ShowZ is always more expensive for MMC product, without sales. I guess they don't have official distributor status.

They used to have the regular prices for them to. They seem to have been cut off by MMC at some point.

 

They also include shipping in their prices, at least the “free” shipping level.

 

I used to have a mixture of sloppy clear and solid labels from toyhax but I took those off and went with cartoon style- black outline dry rubs. Much happier with the outcome.

 

And the funny thing is where I live Showz prices for MMC Stuff are still slightly cheaper than getting them from Planetsteelexpress because of the shipping.

 

Ya, even with the extra couple bucks for Canada shipping, they're the cheapest I've found online for the MMC bots. I bought most of Assaultus from them and have 4/5 of Defensor on pre-order (First Aid already being delivered).

 

Had another go with Probus insignia, tried cutting the top of the insignia so it wasn't a squared off silver bit at the top. Best I could manage even with a cutting board and scalpel. Think it's better than the clear backed purple one at any rate.

 

Because this guy’s wrist holes are just 5mm pegs with an extension, I gave him these, much more akin to the toy vortex and his giant gatling lasers of doom:

It now seems like they’re the only ones with pegs thick enough to fit. Other shapeways accessories are too loose, and weaponizer guns are hopeless with their partial circle pegs. Probably a trick of the texture.

 

BBTS and TFSource both have G1 Impetus listed as a "Reissue." Does anyone know if that reissue is going to have the neck fix from G2?
