I want to be excited for Crasher, but they can’t use the likeness from the show/toyline right? She will probably be blue or something and won’t look like Crasher?

 

It's probably ER Mirage or Legacy Dragstrip in Crasher colors with maybe a new headsculpt

 

@Jtprime17 are the other deluxes in wave 2 of velocitron also repacks like how the other voyager is?

 

Anyways Tarn, Armada Megs, Hot Shot, and Shadow Striker are the draws for me.

Velocitron Hot Rod will depend on if he's an IDW remold but even then I already have the SS version and didn't bother with Rodimus.

It's possible I suppose, if they want to say it's his Cybertronian mode and would also be purple like his 'toon colors (the superior color scheme). But given Metroplex, I think it's fair to expect he'll look like his original self.

Plus Tidal Wave is more well-known that Last Autobot (who I can see why they backported him into the Ark).

 

Oooooooh, now Kingdom/ER Mirage would do me for Crasher, the perfect build for her robot bod, and a head shape in the ballpark!

 

Oh that's good news about the Override repack, gives people more opportunities to get her.

Hopefully that means a few Wave 1 deluxes see repacks, like say Cosmos...

I wonder if there are any obscure 'cons they might backport for a hypothetical Nemesis bot? Though if they were to mirror the Ark they might give him a head resembling the Decepticon Insignia.

 

I can't recall the original timeline of the rumour about Override being a Hot Rod retool/redeco- but is it possible that it was a mix-up that was that Override and this new Hot Rod shared a mold?

 

Bandai only owns the original toy I would imagine, if Hasbro owns the Gobots they would just have claim to the name and the cartoon?

That is unless someone like the animation company has rights to Cartoon likeness? But in that case Hasbro can just change it up a tad to get around that is my guess.

So Hasbro can make new toys just not reissue the old vintage ones.

 

Some theorized Tarn could have been the basis for a transforming Nemesis given the Decepticon mask but don't see that likely now.

So the chances of this happening have drastically gone up;

That didn't even occur to me but it's definitely a possibility. I assumed Velocitron Hot Rod would just be a repaint. Either way, I'm getting him
