an overall amazing lineup. i am going to get that leader megatron to go with the armada starscream coming out this year. i am also gonna get that tarn and skyquake so i can have all of them being my main decepticon faction. despite my problems with the unified aesthetic thing the benefits of having these blend in is good for me. if the studio series listings turn out to be just as good as these then i will never be happier to spend my money

 

Armada would probably be in Voyager as well because of his double headmaster driver gimmick

 

Do we think Tarn is going to be a new mold or something like a Galvatron retool? I don't have Galvatron so either would be cool with me. I'm just excited they're making one.

Although, if they make him as blocky and GeeWun as Bulkhead...

Anyways really hope Crasher is made from Drag Strip. The Mirage mold just doesn't lend itself well to her design. Though the POTP Jazz alt mode is more fitting.

My 2 cents :

Very cool lineup for the fans. It’s varied and represent well the goal that the Legacy line is with many eras/continuity. On a personal point, the filthy geewunner that I am is only interested in Needlenose among those. Maybe Tarn too.

As I said in another thread when IDW Blurr was revealed, I think this just opened the door for Legacy to have IDW characters as well. Many people are asking for figures like Tarn, Drift, Nautica etc. It looks like Hasbro is listening.

My prediction is that Legacy will last many years and might not be a trilogy. It will be a « true » generation line and I think the remaining G1 guys (aka cash cow) will be sprinkled across the waves and the years to keep the market alive on a long period. Personally I want my remaining Insecticons, Mini-bots and other missing guys ASAP, but I understand the marketing move.

 

Tarn and Hot Shot, hell yeah! They're the only ones of these that interest me that much, although it would be great if Velocitron Hot Rod ends up being the MTMTE version (maybe retooled from Override or maybe a heavy retool from SS86 like Blurr, or maybe an all-new mold?). I'm assuming Crasher will be a Drag Strip remold, and if they can make the alt mode look like a Le Mans racer I'm in, but otherwise probably not. I have a feeling Shadow Striker will just be an Elita-1 remold but I want to believe that she's a hint that a new Sideburn is coming. I never really cared for Skyquake's design, but I'm still curious to see how he looks and what he could be reused as (other than Dreadwing obviously).

Also, given that this wave of Velocitron only has four new figures, could it be that some of the figures from wave 1 will be getting repacked to make sure people can get them? Maybe including Override and Cosmos?

 

That’s what I think as well. It’s going to be like SS, where the only thing separating them are the series/media they appeared in.
