Needlenose post number 3:

Repaint and redeco speculation that others have mentioned! But finally, after a long time we have a jet in deluxe scale. Lots of character options potentially. Maybe even non combining Aerialbots. Potentially deluxe seekers.

Literally dozens of options there!

 

This has been my line of thinking since...around 7:15am this morning. It's good to know I'm not alone. And I'm looking forward to Junkion 37.

-Both turn into double barreled tanks
-Both known for having removable faceplates that emulate the Decepticon insignia


I mean, Tarn has to share a mold with someone. They always get two uses out of a mold, and my bet is that it’s either The Fallen or a Bludgeon.

Oh please no. I've been passing on Wreck-Gar for so long; I don't need them to tempt me with modular Junkions.

 

Watch him come out before SS Fallen.

 

Ooh good call! I'd be happy with either or both of those as mold re-uses.

Though thinking of Tarn now makes me think it'd be cool if Hasbro did an IDW Roller too   he's a big guy, probably not suitable as a Tarn remold though as his altmode was a big cargo truck thing.

Edit: You know, given their multiversal presence in Transformers, Legacy would be a kind of great time to actually do figs of the 13.

For next year, I really hope we can get Que and Breakaway, love those two. I have no hope in Hatchet after I looked at the previous two Dreads.

My bet is that Tarn will be retooled into the Fallen, I mean their bodies in general are almost similar. Even though I prefer a new mold for The Fallen.

 

Eh, I honestly don't know how that could be even possible. I doubt that Takara would even allow Lio Convoy to be anything else that completely accurate and in-line how everything in Beast Wars has been recently (For God's sake, even UT stuff is getting accurate representations, Lio Convoy is bound to be perfect).

 

We probably will (Que is rumored for next year and Breakaway we know from leakers is coming).

He'll happen at some point. The team knows he is still needed.

Ooh good point! Funnily enough I just recently acquired the UT Vector Prime to be part of my 13  

Crazy thought for Tidal Wave which would be a bit Monkey Paw for UT fans: We've seen the Nemesis on a few boxes lately... what if they combine the Tidal Wave concept with that and a Nemesis Titan's robot mode will be based on Tidal Wave, like how the Ark's robot mode takes inspiration from The Last Autobot?

Happy for you that Needlenose is finally coming! I can't say that I will be getting him, but the more late G1 the better!

I do think we could get a nice Dogfight from him...

 

All i need from SS is that either rerelease the toys r us evasion mode optimus or the come out with a leader/commander BB cybertronian optimus prime with trailer! Although, I would like BB Skywarp too.

 

My thoughts:
• Voyager Tarn
Hell yeah! This is definitely the figure I'm most excited about. I love his design and more IDW representation has been the main thing I wanted out of Legacy.
• Leader Prime Skyquake
I never loved Skyquake's design, but I'm curious to see how he'll be adapted for Legacy. I wonder if they'll take influences from G1 Skyquake for the G1ification? Or if he could be a premold for a new Thunderwing? Or maybe even a new Stormbringer/T30 Jetfire? (Yes, I do wonder if there's Jetfire potential every single time we get a new jet bot.)
• Leader Armada Megatron
I don't think I'll buy this, but I'd absolutely buy a Dreamwave The Fallen remold. It wouldn't even need that many new parts, just a new head and maybe new chest.
• Deluxe Needlenose
I'll admit, I never really cared about him, but the more I see pictures of him posted, the more I've started to love his color scheme despite not having the most exciting design. I'll probably be getting him.
• Deluxe Hot Shot
Probably the second most exciting new figure to me after Tarn. The fact that they're not specifying 'Armada' or 'Cybertron' or whatever makes me wonder if he'll be a mashup of designs. I'd really love it if he's partially based on the Animated design, at least for the car mode.
• Deluxe Shadow Striker
I know she's probably just an Elita-1 remold but I want to have hope that this could mean there'll be a new Sideburn...
• Deluxe Crasher
Probably a Dragstrip remold. With the alt mode's proportions, I do think it'd be possible to reshell it into a Le Mans-style car, and if they can pull that off, I'll definitely get her, but otherwise I'll pass. At the very least this gives me hope we could get SS86 Junkyard as Cy-Kil.
• Voyager Hot Rod
Probably just an SS86 repaint (either in magenta or toy colors), but I really want it to be an IDW version. I could see it being remolded from SS86 the way Blurr was, although the car mode wouldn't be very accurate (but could at least be retooled to have a similar overall feel), or as a remold of Override? But I doubt they'd put an Override remold and a repack of the original figure in the same wave...

Honestly, this is the best news to me of all these leaks so far. Override's by far my most anticipated figure of this year and I was seriously dreading trying to obtain her for non-scalper prices. Knowing that I'll have another shot at her if I miss the initial preorder makes me feel a lot better.

I hope Tarn will be remolded into Bludgeon and we get The Fallen remolded from Armada Megatron instead.

 

It'll be a new mold since they could do so much more with that design than before. Also it's a little inaccurate and probably out os scale. So new mold please.

Commander no, but leader definitely.

He's a 100% gonna happen.

For me with SS I'll see what is coming but I'm wanting ROTB stuff, Breakaway and maybe some others (like TLK Megatron).

Deluxe Hot Shot - Nice, hope it's Armada version
Deluxe Junkion 1 - Pass
Voyager Leo Prime - Pass but cool to see.
Voyager Tarn - Yes
Leader Prime Skyquake - Surprised to see (would expect the first of this year to be a full on main character like Bumblebee or Starscream). MIGHT at some point get but we'll see
Leader Armada Megatron - Yeess, hope we get a Galvatron redeco since I prefer that deco

Deluxe Shadow Striker - Pass
Deluxe Crasher - Pass
Voyager Hot Rod - If it's IDW MTMTE Rodimus then it's a get

We'll definitely get a Dreadwing repaint out of it with a new gun. I do wonder why they chose him as opposed to like Bumblebee or a main character that appeared in more than 1 episode.
