I don’t know if you really need to worry. First of all, thinking of toys like stocks or commodities trading is probably not super healthy. But second, there are plenty of NewAge fans that just don’t like the materials MagicSquare uses that will be eager to snap up NewAge Ironhide, since it’s hard to get now. I’ll probably eventually sell my New Age Ironhide, but I’m not desperate to get rid of it. It’s a very enjoyable toy to pose and transform.

yeah sure these definitely aren't stocks or commodities but they do have a great return.

we have all dropped some serious coin on legends collecting

so being able to recoup some of that and send it into a different direction whenever newer bots come out is always a great thing in my book.

yes there will be people who want and prefer the older NA van bros or whatever. but i am not even talking about that right now.

all i am saying is now is probably the only time these things will be pulling in some great money.

i don't usually like to toss out numbers on the board. but when i recently sold my van bros i got about 250 for the set without ship. now that was me being nice because i have seen them going for 300 on the reg.

now you can slice that up anyway you like. but no matter how you do it that is a hell of a return on my purchase and it will pay for many new figs and then some.

i don't know many here who would turn that down for their old figs. especially when a newer more desirable version is about to drop. to me that is

 

  WTF??? is that $250 for ironhide and ratchet? that's like IF insanity.  

they may not be perfect and not without flaws, but i love my NA vanbots and don't plan on selling them off, even with NA v2 on the horizon.

 

It's a great design. Jizai knocked it out of the park, and I'll always hang onto my black version, but the sculpt just didn't do it for me as Ironhide or Ratchet. Just not burly enough to fit the characters.

 

Damn the US market for legends sounds pretty insane. I've seen an aussie seller list ironhide for ~ 60 usd on ebay and it's been sitting there for months. Heck, there's even a listing that sold for ~40 usd shipped recently.

 

Yeah if someone wants to buy my vambros for $250 I’d sell them, but I don’t think I’d ever find a chump that would pay that much. It’d probably be tough just to find a buyer that would pay more than close to retail.

I just paid $2 total for Ironhide after eating up some ShowZ points, so I'd say this should be a good value
