I saw a list of stuff coming from the Bandai Hobby Fest there’s Shin Mazinger Zero listed which is probably a model kit but I’m sure some SOC stuff won’t be far behind.

Was taking a closer look at Doublas M2 and noticed it includes new neck pieces that weren't in the original release. The original had all pieces the same shape but the new one gives it a more compact anime-accurate design.

Looks good. Anyone know how it compares to the Action Toys version from a couple years back?

As a follow up, I did a recent sweep of my collection (the only way I can maintain collection space without resorting to offsite storage, which I have done before and will never do again) and Action Toys D17 was purged. Both are great, but ultimately the SOC blends better with my other SOCs, SMPs and Moderoids.

Offsite storage is the line in the sand for me as well. I’ve already cut back on getting stuff…next step is selling stuff…. The huge onslaught of awesome stuff the past few years has made it tough to keep things in check.

It’s nice to have the stuff, and know its not cluttering your house, but after a few years of it I got serious hoarder anxiety. Like, the more the storage would grow the more I would panic about the amount of stuff that was there. And then I’d get a sudden urge to mess with something and I’d realize it was two miles away, three flights up, six rows deep and five boxes down, behind the crib and oak entertainment center and, yeah, f*** that. :lol

I never did keep my SOC figures in storage though. Those fellas are free-range only.

They really fly under the radar and I sometimes forget about them. And it seems like their PO’s go up a fair bit later than other places. I do try to keep an eye on them, though, since they frequently have some nice deals on stuff.

I’ve sworn by them since the early 2010s for my MonsterArts needs, they’re not the speediest but they haven’t once failed me on anything I’ve ordered.

I’ve only ordered from them a couple or few times. I really need to send more business their way. I’d save some money…plus, it would help them to stay afloat
