This is a real letdown, but so was the figure.

 

shocked at all the people here who arent digging this, if you ask me, this is what the figure should have been in the first place. Laser prime put the L in laser for me.

-reusing the siege legs for a third time, but this time theyre hollow
-the trailer removed all that 90s g2 goodness and jsut made it a shell, not even a decent turret

-look me in the eye and tell me an extra knuckle joint wasnt in the budget. you reused the legs from ER, use the hands too cowards.
this actually takes the worst part of the figure and does something fun with it. i LOVE how the main chunk of the trailer is the backpack and the flanks of the trailer become the launchers so its still one giant unit. it keeps the WFC playpattern going in the best way. if it wasnt so expensive to get laser prime AND the kit, id be all in. till then i guess im just waiting for a leader fig that hits right...

 

I mean yeah no fixing the shoulders is lame but it fixes a lot of the more glaring issues of this mold anyways, so it seems pretty exciting if you ask me.

I think that I myself might wait to see if they do a Scourge version since that's the character I want to prioritize over Laser Prime, but overall looks like a lot of fun

 

Damn the figure looks dope with all those upgrades! I'm mighty tempted to pick up a laser prime now...

 

One plus i'll give this set over the other 3d printed ones is the gap fillers on the lags actually still allow the sword to be plugged under there. every other set i've seen covers those tabs up once added

 

Yeah, I guess some folks heard upgrade kit for Legacy Laser Optimus and were hoping for something that fixes the figure proportions, when this and the matrix workshop sets are basically extra accessories to give this dude a "Heavy Arms" mode. Like this does come with fillers and improved hands, but I'm more about the MT Battle Tanker-ish conversion.

Would've been cool if they added some missile pods for the legs like the Matrix Workshop kit.

 

I mean it's cool, if you need all the extra bells and whistles.. I'm more excited for Larkin's second set. It gives the correct top of the tanker, the big blue missiles, and square secondary launcher.

Looks pretty cool! I like the guns, and the battle tanker mode\'s cooler than the Matrix Workshop one (I think that\'s whose making it?), but without that sword, this set just doesn\'t feel complete (Also doesn\'t feel right without the toy\'s original missile like the other one gives ya, but it\'s less important than that sword).

 

Can't support them anymore after what they did to fans with DK-17. And why exactly would I want missiles sticking out of the back end of the tanker? I feel like they really overdo some of of their sets.

 

Was hoping for an alternate head with light piping like Scourge got. I wouldn't be too picky about it, if HasTak had at least painted his brow silver so that the blue eyes didn't get lost in the blue brow.

I've decided to preorder this set instead of Matrix Workshop's. MW is more faithful to the toy and Maketoys, but when I go G2, I want to go crazy. It took four upgrade kits to get there with G2 Megs.

Agreed, since they glue these heads together it's way too fine a place for me to trust my own hands to fix directly

I am very tempted as that level of sheer missile toting insanity is just hilarious

I'm just surprised so many people had issues with Laser Prime's legs. I mean, yeah, wheels aren't stinking out of them like the original but, they get the job done

Now just have to look into getting one of those G2 Megs sets so Megs can share in the upgrade fun and have his big ol' shoulder cannon

 

That figure's whole proportions are jacked really. Thighs too long, Head too small, Arms too small, The tiny (Actual) shoulders are too close to the body

I got Larkin's G2 Megs set as well, The one Emgo reviewed on his channel is 50-68 Dollars!! at least it is now.
