Yeah, the animation errors were always there but it got worse in S3.

 

Do you think so? As you say, there’s quite a lot in S1-2.

 

The last ones from S3. I know we got a lot in S1-2 we 100% did they were always there. But S3 we got a lot more in addition

 

I think 5 faces of darkness alone has more errors than the combined season 1 and 2 errors.

 

And if you combine that with Carnage in C-Minor, it's a landslide!

Does anyone understand why the robot hand had to turn backwards when transforming? I don't see why this step is needed. It feels pointless. It's not like it does anything.

 

If this is the scale you want your Dinobots you should look at the Planet X Dinobots (are there other CHUG scaled Dinobots?) or the MP ones.

With them only doing gold versions of characters that where in the Gold Lagoon episode I'm expecting they won't be doing characters that didn't show up in the cartoon.

Once again I hope I"m wrong because I want the Omnibots. Not against if they heavy retooled the Insecticons into the Deluxe Insecticons with Shrapnel becoming Chop Shop, Kickback becoming Ransack and Bombshell becoming Barrage. For Venom they could Frankenstein a figure from the three Insecticons. Don't really care for Roadbuster, Whirl, Powerdashers or Duocons. The Monsterbots I think I'd prefer them in the Uron Factory line.

S1 and S2 had errors but it was with S3 that it bothered me.

 

To be fair to the animators, the episodes released on DVD are pre-broadcast masters (in other words, earlier edits of the episodes, not the final versions).

The actual broadcast tapes were too degraded for home release so we got these versions instead.

I’m not saying that the broadcast episodes were error-free (the contemporaneous VHS releases are proof of that!), but let’s not forget that many of the errors and issues on the episodes that we see on the DVDs weren’t there when the show aired back in the 80s.

 

Expect the PX IDW Grimlock/planned Dynobots are for a MP/MMC IDW CHUG collection not for legends. And I think moonDUST is only going Legends and or just making the comparison that they are like Dreamwave’s scaling.

Indeed, I like the Dinobots either a little taller than Prime or a bit taller than Prime

 

The animation was so great in this bit in how they went form running to a small hop and transform.

They are oddly enough in scale to their toys.

 

I always thought they were written like 2 year olds in season 1 and 2 and by season 3 they were more like the emotional equivalent of 5 year olds.

 

The final frontier for 3P: reanimating the entirety of G1!  

I'm sure Hasbro wouldn't mind if somebodies took to Kickstarter to make this happen.  

 

from what i can tell, there seems to be a wider triangular section on one side. in one position, it holds the outer two sections open wide for the dino legs. rotate that piece around allows the two section to collapse to form the slim profile for the bot arms.

 

That's actually a smart and original step for me. It serves many purposes. One is like TIK&Tin said. Also, the hand rotates to a position where it acts like a tab even when the arm being reversed and still has room for the other side tabs in. The Dino legs also look less hollow.

Edit: It's 124g, about NA Magnus' weight (~130g). Pretty hefty for its size, which is nice.

 

I have this on PO, but also whichever company first to MP size this gets my money too.
