The Deluxe Insecticons are pretty unique in that they're a toy design owned by Bandai and also the characters don't have a lot of fictional appearances Hasbro can point to and say "oh we're doing these guys who appear in our stories" like they can for Jetfire when Harmony Gold gets cranky. No cartoons, barely any comics appearances... most of what Hasbro can point to are the toy designs they don't technically own.
If we get Needler, I'm also going to want a Bob. And of course all the other G1 Insecticons, G1 Deluxe Insecticons, the Prime Insecticons, and the RiD15 Insecticons. Definitely still need a G1 Buzzsaw.
still hasbro only made chopshop from the legends skrapnel, why not at least redeco the other 2 available molds as well?, that kickback had a far superior insect mode and even then more accurate to ransack than what the legacy will ever be
One of the leakers said that was the plan at the time, & at least one other Dlx Insecticon was planned as a retool (I want to say Bombshell was the one explicitly mentioned as having alternate tooling made for either Barrage or Venom) but they never got around to that wave. Then again this happened quite a lot, I’d have loved to have seen the Gutcruncher remold of Thrilling 30 Roadbuster, the PotP Monstructor / Dinoking retools or the Build King (plus Double Targetmaster Landfill & Quickmix) Autobot retool of Combiner Wars Devastator, but sometime retailers choose to pass on these.
