Arcee's always going to be a nearly impossible design to truly properly turn into a toy. You just can't get that much car mass from that slender a figure without some kind of backpack.

That being said, this one looks to do better than either of the previous attempts.

Will be picking her up for sure. Was hoping the fembots had double elbow and knee joints by now, to do more acrobatic ninja shit to make up for their size.

This is the kind of comment I genuinely appreciate. You declare your preferences and explain how one toy matches them while another doesn’t. You don’t say “this is better” or “this is garbage”, but rather “I prefer this because…”.

I don’t agree with you at all, but after reading your opinion, I understand it and respect it. I prefer a good transformation and alt mode over a good looking robot. I don’t like parts-forming, so I want integrated kibble that isn’t conveniently removable. Regardless, I can read your comments knowing we can comfortably “agree to disagree” because we understand the foundations of each other’s opinions.

So much tribal argument in this fandom could be avoided with a well-chosen word or two.

To be honest, T30 Arcee's single jointed elbows (which seem to have been translated to SS86) have almost the range of motion of a double jointed elbows, so I don't think you'll miss them here.
Double jointed knees like ER Arcee would have been nice, but again, if the new legs have the same range of motion in the knees as the T30 ones (the joints seem similar) they have an excellent range too.

I glad they made a new arcee in the SS86. Looks great. But I'm not sure if I wanna get it or not. Already have the ER/Kingdom arcee.
    Idk... time will tell.

    SS86 arcee looks good.

And this is my ER/kingdom arcee. I painted her lips.

I’m not an Arcee fan, but I might try to get one of these for a custom. The fact that so little of her body is actually used for the alt mode would make her easier to paint.

I guess I'm just easier to please than most, you'd have to go pretty far back to find a figure that I explicitly dislike (it's CW Breakdown and his repaints). I haven't been interested in every single figure that's come out since then (I've actually gotten a lot more selective about what I buy these days), but instead of scrutinizing every figure for flaws, I just go "it looks cool but it's not for me" and move on

    I appreciate the marketing!

But that Gerwalk mode looks awful.

Kingdom Arcee does not appear to have sold well: she's languishing in online inventories with some of the skeleton dinos... Could be that people are burnt out on her. And the boring alt mode (that instantly makes her a shellformer) doesn't help.

Im more interested in BB Movie Arcee, ironically, cuz her alt mode is more interesting (Im not a fan of movie TFs, generally).

I can't help but laugh at Paradron Medic just sitting there smiling as the entire bit is visible in the under carriage. I know the updated SS86 figure is still mostly a shell former as it typically always is... But that it hides it a bit in alt mode is something.

I am 1000% the same way! Very refreshing to see someone else feel the same. I see so much outrage and what seems to be minor things, where I’m just like eh not feeling it or I am etc. the only figure I really outright disliked lately has been kingdom cheetor. Even tho I own it cause I wanted the full cast lol

If they re-released the figure in the original colors it would be a first-day purchase.

Ah. I definitely like the T30 colors, but not those hips. The SS86 toy’s modifications look much cleaner.

Not that it will happen, but It would be cool if they repainted this figure into Combiner Hunter colors. Since that version is hard to find and also cause it just looks cool (like Bumblebee being in primarily black and then yellow).

Didn't see the upgrade. That makes it something that I would want more.

The only part I really don't like is that the new wheels in back are clipped even though they clearly could've been pinned. But I guess over the course of half a million figures they saved enough for Chris Cox to get cheese on his Whopper next time he goes to Burger King so I guess it was worth it. Yeah, I really hate clipped wheels, especially where the post is exposed.

The old thighs are much better
I find that underside pic comical as they are highlighting their own failure compared to the old design team.
