Honestly thought they'd make replacement feet so they could fold in for dino mode...

Yep. Wake me up when someone fixes the most glaring issue with this toy.

The eyes and sword are basically all I'm after (and maybe the joint parts if the copy I get ends up loose), so I'm glad that this is a pretty minimal kit without a bunch of fluff, 90% of a Wheelie, or 3 other dudes' upgrade parts. I'll probably go for it unless I see a quality sword and eyes on their own at a good price.

Honestly, after some of their latest sets it's hard to get excited for this. It doesn't help that there have been other companies that made folding toes, which is a way of filling in the belly I like more than a removable shield. But for what it is, it looks alright. I do question why they're including flame effects for Grimlock and Slag in this set rather than them being packed in with their respective kits, though.

Huh. No one kit so far gives me everything I want for him so I'm going to have to get this one, the Matrix Workshop one, the Superman Studios fillers AND the BDT replacement folding feet :S

Actually, this IS most of the Superman Studios set - minus the feet fillers! Bloody cheek

Better than their other Dinobot sets at least.

They copied the ideas of existing 3d printed sets again. When they've tried that before, the 3d printed sets usually ended up being better.

They should have copied the folding toes replacement feet idea. That would've helped a lot.

I'm doubting they fixed their 'generic' blast effect (used on Slug in the pics), which uses an oversized peg. Freakin useless.

I'm disappointed they didn't fix the robot toes in dino mode. I'll still get it for the sword and flame effects though.

The belly shield is cool but they should have made replacement feet with articulated toes to fold up into the beast mode belly gap the way they were clearly designed to

BDT's surface finish is rather blah in general and doesn't match color-wise.

There is something enjoyable about DNA being more of what third party started in. Upgrading existing Hasbro products with the small additions mass release retail budgets didn't allow for. I don't own these Dinobots but if I did, I would probably get these sets.

Maybe this is off topic, but would anyone like to have a Paddle conversion kit?
