Sadly, my copy has the hip ratchet and leg windows problems. I bought mine on Amazon jp, so an authorized seller (I suppose).
I'm pretty sure it's a universal issue. Might as well. GSC reissues/2nd batches usually come out pretty fast. And that's probably when we'll all get our new parts.
Nope the figure was loose and the box was filled with about a dozen sheets of packaging paper. I do find it funny that I get mine the same time that GSC confirms the issues with the train.
Well I spent some time with Da Garn and Earth Liner. Da Garn is posable but for a figure that size I would've preferred a fixed head and swivels in the arms. My God that gun is tiny. I don't think it'll be leaving the box again. Maybe down the road we could get a larger scale Da Garn with weapon storage. Earth Liner is really good, yes the windows are off but I really haven't noticed anything with the hips, except for the actual joint not lining up under the skirts, maybe that's it but I was able to pose the legs how I wanted. One thing I didn't notice from early reviews is that the toon accurate legs can transform as well, they don't look good in train mode, but the option is there. Looking forward to spending time with Earth Jet and combining everything.
I received mine today and I can't say I'm happy about how the figure turned out. I like how it looks, the paint and overall plastics seem nice but there are way too many things to fix out of the box IMO. On top of the window and hip problems, Da-garn X's neck, lower wings, arm panels and feet are all way too loose, and Da-garn not having anything pegging in place makes it the most unfun and frustrating part of the set. I fixed all the loose parts and tried to fix the hips. The sooner worked fine but the for the later, I couldn't get into the joint and I think something broke or moved during my disassembly tentative and now it doesn't ratchet anymore. Seeing the joint was still strong and working fine without the ratchet, I finally decided to do the same with the other joint. The hips on my copy are now friction only. Also my box is in perfect condition but the plastic trays inside are totally warped and super stiff to the point they literally exploded when I pried them open. I really love the look of the figure and I definitely have a thing for Yuusha robots so I really want this line to be good but IMO, that's not a good start at all.
Yeah, it's not perfect by any means. Still better than a plastic model kit but only slightly more. I think I'll wait out any future DX figures from Goodsmile unless they offer something I don't already own. I have the DX Da Garn X from yore and this version feels like a better articulated but less sturdy version of it...not really what I'm demanding from modern figures. Bandai is also now throwing its hat further into the SoC ring with Brave...so hopefully someone gets to J-Decker...that would get my interest.
Question, are the Takara versions of Da Garn, Deckerd, Dagwon, and Dran all retools of each other? They all look like the same type of police/fire car and seem to transform the same.
