Pawmi is an Electric-type Pokémon
'In addition to the electric sacs in its cheeks, Pawmi has electricity-discharging organs on its forepaws. It generates electricity by rubbing its cheeks, then it shocks its opponents by touching them with the pads on its forepaws.
Not only is the fur that covers its body good insulation against the cold, but it also serves the purpose of storing electricity. When it feels uneasy, this cautious Pokémon will begin rubbing its cheeks, preparing itself to discharge an electric shock."

Smoliv is a Grass/Normal-type Pokémon
"The oil that comes out of its head has a very strong bitter taste, and it is not suitable for consumption. When startled or attacked, Smoliv will shoot this oil out, slowing its opponent down. It will then seize that moment to run away.
In the fruit on its head, Smoliv stores oil made from nutrients it gathers through photosynthesis. As a result, it can go for a week without eating or drinking. It prefers dry and sunny climates, and it seems to spend its days sunbathing."

Lechonk is a Normal-type Pokémon
'Lechonk uses its sense of smell to find and eat only the most fragrant wild grasses and the richest Berries. As a result of its dining habits, it has come to radiate an aroma resembling herbs that bug Pokémon dislike.
If attacked by an opponent and startled, it will charge forward in a panic. It may appear fat at first glance, but in reality, the Pokémon’s body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food.'

For a minute there, I mistook Pawmi for those Waddledog things in Kirby and the forgotten land. Also thought Smolive was a regional variant of budew. Lechonk..... Yes....

Looks like those rumors of you being able to ride the legendaroes just got more real. Got your motorbike and your jetbike lol.

Kind of underwhelming. The new Pokémon are pretty bland, Lechonk only getting by on its name really. The best is probably Smoliv (really embracing that internet slang here) but that's not saying much. Looks like the Legends Arceus catching and battle mechanics have been cut which is a massive step back, but don't let the folks on Reddit let you know you think that. Apparently constantly going into battle screens isn't fucking tedious. Can't wait to get mobbed by random Pokémon and have to click "run away" instead of actually running away. Forget actually feeling like you're part of the world instead of having to detour just to interact with Pokémon in any way.

Professors look really bad. Liked the lady until I saw the rest of her outfit, which leans way too hard on the cavewoman thing and ends up not fitting in. Sonia in a lab coat looks way more like a professor. The guy's bodysuit is just uninspired looking, like they just didn't want to bother making actual tops and bottoms so they gave him footies. Everyone in SwSh had style but everyone in S/V so far look like fashion disasters. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen such ugly outfits in Pokémon.

It's kind of funny that the rival is older here when my friend's California region has an older rival too. If they pull a similar twist as well, it's going to be fun to joke about on occasion.

 

Well it seems these are the route 1 Pokemon more or less.

We know that for battles they do act the same from Legends Arceus, exisiting in the real world instead of transitioning to a battlefield environment like SwSh

You had to click to run away as well in PLA if you got caught by a Pokemon.

Besides they were probably going to keep most of PLA mechanics away from the more traditional games in order to create incentive to buy future legends games

 

You didn't have to click run away. You could run away from the battles just fine by sprinting away from where the fight is taking place. I did it several times. Them wanting to keep the mechanics separate doesn't make it any less of a downgrade.

When you look at the first route Pokémon of the last few generations, they're less bland than these. Even though Wooloo for example is just a sheep, they styled it in a way that made it look cute and somewhat interesting.

 

subjective I guess, I find these Pokemon on par with past ones.

Sometimes its nice to just have basic designs before they get crazy via evolution.

I know to me I prefer Skwovet's design over Pachirisu and Emolga in regards to squirrel Pokemon.

Maybe? What I do know is that these confirm leaks that they are Fighting/Dragon and Electric/Dragon typings. They also are rumoured to have 5 forms and may be our mode of transportation. Since they are clearly motorcycles.

 

I feel like other than showing off some stuff, they didn't give us much info.

Like what is our goal? To complete the Pokedex? Defeat the regional champion?

And what is the name of the region?

Ugh, can't decide which legendary I want to go with. On one hand, I think the Scarlet one looks a bit cooler, on the other hand, purples my favorite color

 

Theory about Lechonk.

I will evolve into a fairy or feminine Pokemon. It has Aroma Veil as an ability. Only Aromatisse and Alcremie lines know that ability.

Expect a similar design.

Perhaps since its named after Lechon, the Spanish pig dish, i will be literally be a cooked pig with all the dressings as actual wardrobe or in a fashionable style?

 

I just want a big fat non bipedal pig.

 

I really like the design of the Violet box Legendary, Miraidon. Seems a little strange they've got version exclusive Professors this time around. And once again, I'm liking the Violet version, Professor Turo, better.

 

I hope piggy pig becomes Normal/Poison. Heck, I just hope they finish off the type combinations.

 

Only complaint I have is that Miraidon is probably gonna reuse Zekrom's typing. I was kinda hoping they'd cycle through all the other types first
