Just a heads up, my gamestop had a prime and Megatron helmet on the shelf. Don't have photos since it's the gamestop farthest away from my normal route but hope this info helps anyone still looking.

 

I wish bloody Pulse would stock these for people outside the US  

 

Damn, I haven’t seen the PO for these on GameStop.ca in months. It took so long for Prime to show up, I wonder if they gave up on Megatron.

 

It was preorderable, but only in store. Soundwave's in the store system too.

Ooh, nice you can be old Buckethead with this Buckethead of a mask.

 

I feel like it should be a bit wider. Looks sort of stretched vertically. But kind of cool. Not sure if I would buy it, but good for those who like it.

 

 Just never thought of getting  the  helmets. I think One  reason  why. Cause I have the Power Ranger helmets  already  so. White,Green,Pink & Zedd. If I  see them on my travel this  fall then I will grab them.

 

At first I definitely thought this image was some type of photoshop or digital render on that couch!

 

I can add a me-too to the fitment issues. I wear a size 7, 3/8 hat and when I put Megs on, my face gets caught at the nose, leaving my eyes at the level of his "cheekbones". The only way I can see out of it is to tilt it forward a bit and completely smash my nose flat. It's a bummer because the exterior of the helmet is bigger than Optimus, but the interior details actually make it much smaller. If they had simply molded the inside to make use of Megatron's nose, it would probably work much better. He fits my wife though, so should be doable with smaller heads - but the helmet's so big it certainly looks a bit funny.

For comparison, with the headband adjusted properly I can wear the Optimus mask comfortably for quite some time. The only complaint with the Optimus mask is the flap in the back uses a very weak friction clip to hold it closed, so it flaps around in a headwind like some robotic mullet.  

Aesthetically, I'm not quite as happy with Megs either. For some reason they added an extra plane for his cheekbones which doesn't look quite right. I think I might try painting his eyebrows and the spots above them black like the animation, and that might help a bit.

 

Looks like the real deal. Steady wallet..steady.

 

Damn these things look bad-ass. Simply, but hefty.

 

Wow, that Megatron helmet gives me the creeps. Uncanny valley, like it's some sort of animation cell brought to life. Do not like.

 

Its doing its job then. Megatron is not supposed to be a Teddy Bear.

 

Dang, I was hoping he and Snuggles could do a team-up commercial together.  

 

It's subtle (and a PITA to mask, so I know why they didn't do it). But I gave Megatron his black eyebrows and forehead detail. I opted not to go full uni-brow though.

 

Still might happen if it is and IDW commercial.
