Ah, I was just wondering. The thighs and pelvis in your picture look whiter, while in Chefatron's review on Youtube they look more gray. I assumed they were different releases but it might just be lighting and photo quality tricking me into thinking they look different

Are we sure that there really IS a White Pants version, and that it isn't just a trick of the light / camera?

I mean, mine is the 'Grey Pants' version [original release], and it is so pale that in certain lights and on camera it appears white.

Does anyone here have both versions that they can compare side-by-side? Did Dr. Wu themselves ever confirm that a second production run was made with White Pants, or is it just fan conjecture?

 

What I posted earlier is from their weibo site specifically mentioning a white version. The post is now old and i can't access it anymore without an actual weibo account.

 

Ah, gotcha. Very interesting! Also a bit strange that they would make a variant that is soooo close to the original as to almost be indiscernible.

Seriously, I could easily convince myself that my copy is 'white', but I definitely have a copy from the initial production run.

Wonder if it ever actually got produced?

any chance the trailer fits in the hidden leg compartments in robot mode?

 

Unfortunately, no. You can have the trailer in there and close the door most of the way, but the trailer is too long to allow the door to snap shut.

 

I would buy a second release (or just a separate release) with an upgraded trailer more close to the G1 toy.

Struts on the bottom for stability, a fold out drone, and door that folds down for roller to roll down. I want a little base to stick with Titan Omega  

Maybe the same way as the Magnus armor is being done, we could see an upgrade trailer for Optimus down the line.
