I think you're confusing things somewhat, the length of time a figure is in development isn't being discussed, merely the fact we have had several great releases within a considerably short time period!

at this point I really think XTB is intimidated by fanstoys and afraid to release anything because they're aware people will compare the Quality to fanstoys. and as for MMC they've always operated in that manner nothing new. But really excited for OUTRIDER

 

What are all the major G1 toon MP producers at this point? FT, Takara, XTB, DS, and MMC? I've always suspected that FT releases as much, if not more, than all the others combined, but I wonder how the numbers actually stack up year to year.

 

I have a question for the Europeans in this thread.

There is a slight chance that the company I work for may move me to Sweden. So the absolute most important question is..... What website do I use to get my fanstoys.

Cause if I can't get my fanstoys over there I ain't going.

Yeah, but you ought to be stung by 22% VAT (or MOMS, in Sweden). As these companies don't declare VAT, you'll risk this on every purchase (happens all across Europe).

That said, everything in Sweden costs more, but the salaries compensate.

I'll have to look those terms up to better understand what you mean and thanks I will have a good time if I get to go.

I do want to go but my happiness is priority and if I can't get my hobby to transition easily I won't go.

Loving Fanstoys’ release videos on that YouTube channel though, and Outrider looks pretty darn great in both modes.

 

VAT (value added tax) is just sales tax. It's EU-wide (and we've kept it in the UK since Brexit) but the way imports work, you have to pay it on purchases from overseas too.

Sweden call value added tax MOMS. It's 22% last time I checked (UK is 20%).

I have lived in Sweden for 13 years, never paid anything extra on a single Fanstoys figure from Tfsafari, showz or Bombusbee! It might just take a bit longer to get here than Germany or Italy perhaps.

 

8 right now. I usually revise them any time new information is disclosed (usually a new reveal or updated information on release time).

That's good to hear. I sent a second-hand dvd to my stepdad in Göteborg (all correctly declared) and they tried to get him to pay the VAT! Individual to individual, as a gift, etc. so it's good to hear it's not always so terrible!
