I'm just sitting thinking about how Jolt could've used better legs more but ok. This kit is cool but still.

 

I wish they would\'ve done more for Dino.  The legs look way less clean than the originals, which is a negative for me.  People also wish they changed the front (shoulders, shell, etc.) to look more like a Farrari, which I totally agree with.  In general, the arms are too big, so replacing them altogether would\'ve been better.  As for things I expected for a Dino upgrade kit... yeah, I have no idea why there\'s no new blades or grapple hooks.  To me, these low-effort group sets of \"upgrades\" show a decrease in care towards their products and consumers, and a lack of agency to change back.  Essentially, DNA Design has kinda dropped the ball for me.  Remember the Ironhide upgrade kit?  I wish we still got stuff like that for Studio Series.  I also dislike artificially inflating the price of Sentinel\'s Sword, Shield, and Rust Canon by including meaningless throwaway plastic pieces, which was an easy cashgrab to make for them because people wanted Sentinel\'s weapons.  Back to this kit, the new Shatter head does absolutely nothing to fix the figure\'s flaws, and I\'d say it\'s still bottom 5 SS figures (again, not really going after the core issues here) and Jet Shatter\'s new hands hardly make a difference.  I get that a lot of people will be pleased with this, since it makes the figures slightly more versatile with posing, but after seeing what DNA *could* do vs what it *did* do kinda stings.

I\'ll buy this JUST for the ankle tilts, but I\'ve got to ask: anyone else remember how much awesome upgrades $30 used to get us with DNA? Seriously, I get depressed with how little this kit offers upgrades and plastic wise for that price. Like, look what $50 use to give us for Predaking\'s upgrades.

not really DNA\'s fault, but still. What a shame. 

 

They couldve done a bit more here for sure.

Dino couldve gotten a less flat chest, better blades and hooks.

I remember fiddling with Jet Shatter and rhinking of ways to fold in the back.

Ugh. I'd want this for the Dino legs but I wish it did more for car Shatter. I don't even think the jet upgrades are necessary. New legs or thighs for Shatter are absolutely needed.

 

Dinosaur vehicle mode still sticks its toes, which is silly.

 

New arms and legs that are ever so slightly thicker??? These people  are really running out of ideas on how to rip off the collectors obsessed with movie accuracy.

 

The new legs are for angle tilts, not for being thicker  

 

I think I'll wait for 3P to finally make a new CHUG or MP figure. Why haven't we gotten even one released? I get that people love G1, but maybe show some love towards the main antagonists of the Bumblebee movie instead of all the G1 redesigns?

 

If I can track down Judy car shatters head I’ll pick it up. Glad I didn’t get rid of car shatter

 

now they should do a follow up, a set with, a new car front for dino, and yes, the hooks and cables, and new swords like some 3d pritned sets already do, new shoulders for car shatter, maybe a replacement for the mid section panel of the robot mode with the missing \"lights\" and collar for robot mode (she has more than enough space in vehicle mode for that although i think it would need a jointed piece or something)

 

Seems like everyone else in here is thinking the same thing so I don't know if anyone's even going to be buying all the shatter stuff   They're two years too late for shatter upgrades! I would have been so hype for that stuff back in 2020.

 

Literally the only useful thing about this kit is Dino's legs.

 

I'm on board for the Shatter upgrades.

Studio Series Dino was a case of too little, far too late, so I didn't buy him, but I'm definitely keen to replace car-mode Shatter's head.

The jet-mode Shatter hands look alright too - not something I've been clamoring for, but having the 5mm holes run right through the hands will make it easier to equip Shatter with weapons and accessories.

The head on Shatter is a nice touch but it doesn’t change how it’s a lame toy.

 

Of those three figures, I only own Jet Shatter, and am quite satisfied with how she is from the factory. Those new arms are neat, but 'fixes' what is a total non-issue for me.

 

I like the parts on offer and I actually have all 3 for once, so I might go for this unless the price is insane.

I do think there's more your could do for each of the figures, but I suppose at a certain point you're either really limited by the existing transformation/parts or just have to invent a whole new figure. Like a new less-flat chest for Dino would be neat, but where would it even go in car mode? And car-Shatter has issues for sure, but there's not much you could do without redoing 60%+ of the figure.

 

Really surprised they didn't go with new blades for Dino as well.
