Just trying to scope out what people's views are on which combiner group should me re-made next.

You can only pick one- but you are allowed to change your mind after ;)

For the purposes of argument the poll will assume that the new combiner will get bespoke engineering like Menasor and the Stunticons are getting in Legacy.

Edit: just a quick edit to say this poll is borne out of a discussion in the Legacy speculation threads- about which of the combiners recently released over the past few years deserves a new makeover. As such Monstructor/Dinoking does not get included as an option.

    For me they all need a re-do / re-release.
Even releasing the UW sets again with some fixes would be great (yes I know it isn't going to happen).

I'll settle for them re-doing every combiner in this new Legacy style if they can. I need to replace my KO Defensor & Superion and MP "scale" 3P's are just too costly for me sadly.

Well, I'm a little disappointed with the absence of Computron but I'll bite.

Who would I like to see the most? Predaking or Bruticus.

Who needs it the most? Defensor.

I voted Devastator purely because I'd like a more CW scaled version of them. Same with the Predacons.

That said I get you're presumably going with the OG G1 combiners, but honestly, Victorion with new molds who are fembots from the start would be pretty great. Don't get me wrong, I love what they did with retools, but it would also be neat to have some who look a bit more like the comic art ^^. And on that note I'd do them with more definite red and greens. I get they were going for a rust theme with a (kind of) rusty red and oxidized green, but they do look lovely with the more definite colours of the comics.

That said, they're also a team I would totally take non combining figures of the Rust Renegade Torchbearers too.

Out of the ones you cherry picked?

Devastator. He’s massively out of scale with the other 20+ combiners out there. It’s one thing being a little bigger than the rest of the guys (new Menasor) but to tower over everyone ridiculously? Yeah.. and the individual bots kinda suck.

Honestly, before more re-dos I'd like to see other combiners get the 'ol CHUG treatment, like Monstructor, Landcross, Road Caesar, Tripredicus, Magnaboss, Landfill and a CHUG Raiden.

But other than that... yeah, can't pretend I'm not still slightly annoyed by Predakings leg bots.

Can we get an Omega Supreme option? I’m tired of having him three times the size of Superion.

I've edited the poll to include Computron. I forgot about them, sorry.

All of them, to be honest, but the two that jump out at me the most are Devastator and Bruticus. Devastator is just a giant block of torso, whereas Bruticus was hampered by having to include several remolds. Even after getting shuttle Blast off and some upgrades, he still only looks okay, and the constituent parts don't feel like the Combaticons at all.

I'm torn on whether to add Liokaiser- since arguably he wasn't done well enough to be considered for a redo. Rather he needs a ...... do?

Personally, I'd like to see better scaled versions of Devastator & Predaking. Neither seem like a good fit for the Menasor model though, so I'd probably want to see Bruticus next, followed by the Technobots

Cherry picked? I completely forgot about Computron and have fixed that. Liokaiser first time round doesn't really count as being done well enough to be considered for a "re-do".

I agree wholeheartedly that future combiners should be those who have not been done yet- but this poll is asking who deserves a redo the most- or if you prefer- which previously released combiner was the worst ;)

I’m not a fan of combiners, but I wouldn’t mind seeing decent versions of the Technobots themselves. Personally I think MMC could pull off a nice set.

With all of the Devastator options available, I’m surprised it’s winning this poll.

Voted Compy, not that the UW set is bad by any means but G1 Scattershot's OG transformation is so unique, his alt mode so gloriously funky, and arguably best of the G1 5-bot Combiner Team Leader intermediate third modes as an actual artillery emplacement (rather that robot & vehicle parts in a pile with a ramp or other added gubbins to be a "repair bay") he deserves a proper do-over not just a Concorde-alike jet with a new nose & skeletal wings Silverbolt partial (even though Takara went that bit further, bless 'em).

None really, unless they work towards scaling them according to alt modes and made a few titan sized ones.

But with 3rd parties, I already have the ones I wanted.

I'd rather see something new and original, and go with dual figures for the torso (like Devastator) so 6 figures teams.

Btw that's Bruticus.. you have it misspelled.

Monstructor needs a Do, Liokaiser a Redo.

A lot of the CW Combiners really feel like a redo would be welcome, the mold reuse was to a ridiculous degree and everything suffered for having the same very flat torso modes. The Seacons stand out too as being particularly half-baked. I had the God Neptune version and could have looked past the hideous milky plastic if the base figures were any good, but they weren’t.

However, I also don’t want to see them take the Amateur Hour way out like 3P does regularly where you just slap limb bots into a separate combiner frame. I don’t mind that with Menasor because that’s basically how his design works, but with anyone else that’s just lazy design work.
