Yep, we did. And it was brought up again in Season 5 when she started to feel bad for the loser jackass guy that wouldn't let Mesa Verde have their land. Anyway, well I'm quite sure we are now going to know who the first Vaccuum cleaner pick-up is. The Vet is probably saving up money to afford a trip out of dodge so he can become a real vet.
Spoiler: My theory i think that the $20k is used for decorating the office in reality. Jimmy and Kim set up the photos of Jimmy and the judge so Howard can scream bribery but Jimmy will have receipts for decorating the office, the judge will have clear alibi, and Howard will be accused of false evidence and misconduct. Cliff sees Howard as totally nuts and demands to settle. Howard knows he was played but can not prove it. HHM crumbles under his accusations.
Spoiler: I think that Howard doesn't drin caffeine, and neither Jimmy nor Kim are aware of that so that little drug they're planning to hit him with will hospitalize or kill him.
That seems quite plausible, though I think the plan is going to run a good bit longer than that. There's a lot of steps on their planning board past D-Day. I'm still expecting the next prequel series to be "The Adventures of Lalo, Cartel Ninja".
We did our Sunday rewatch yesterday and I noticed the earrings Kim's mom stole for her are the same ones she has been wearing all series long.
Spoiler I never considered that Hamlin's PI was working for Saul and Kim. That's even better than my expectation that he'd get nabbed by Gus' protective detail. Lalo staking out the laundry. Damn that's an inventive way to do it.
Spoiler Not the thing I should be focusing on, but I have to wonder how they handle the body cleanup and explain Howard disappearing
Spoiler When Howard was in Kim and Jimmy's apartment I kept thinking what if lalo showed up..... and then there he was! Holy shit.... Howard
What the fuck??? Why do we have to wait 6 weeks for the next episode? That's stupid! What a freaking amazing episode this was.
Yeah gonna be annoying waiting for the talk to happen. At least it isn't a season cliff hanger that won't be resolved because the show was canceled. 'Better Call Saul' Star Patrick Fabian Breaks Down Shocking Mid-Season Finale — The Hollywood Reporter
All right, so now that I have had time to digest that ending, I remembered there was another 49 minutes to reflect on. First off, how the hell is that cameraman a teacher? YIKES!!! I had a feeling the PI was actually working with Jimmy because I realized in the original photos of Saul and the fake judge that he was wearing the same suit he took the money out in. And when they were taking the photos I thought, "Hey, aren't they taking photos the way a PI would?" Next thing you know, Saul's handing the envelope to the PI. I wonder if that shaken pop trick Howard talked about is real. I bet that intern dude is also one of Saul's guys. It was nice to see Irene again, but damn that was a cold trick of Howard to have her stay in a wheel chair. It's little things like as to why I hate lawyers. He might as well just be named Lionel Hutz. I don't know why, but the mediator should have totally been played by Kurt Russel. That scene of seeing Howard go off the deep end was so great. Fabian was wonderful in that scene. Perhaps his best performance in the entire show. Lalo continues to show how much of a determined patient man he is. However, he got back from Germany quick as hell. Mike's guys are kind of dumb though. Why didn't they consider Lalo might be able to realize he could tell they tapped the phone? IN fact, you would think him hanging up and calling back would rouse some suspicions. And then as discussed, that ending. WOW!! No show coming out this summer is even going to be half as good as these 7 episodes have been. I don't even know if I care enough about anything else now.
I saw someone mention the foreshadowing and parallel of the Spoiler soda to the shooting: Howard twists the soda, to get a quiet pop. Lalo Twists the silencer to get a quiet POP! This writing damn
