They have been trying to get someone to essentially trade them HasLab Victory Saber in exchange for MP Star Saber. Not going to happen.

Any word from retailers like BBTS or Dorkside about availability for people like myself who are going to have to get this figures in the aftermarket?

 

The only pre orders open right now are from ebay. There were no orders opened by any of those 2 retailers when the campaign was ongoing. I know it has been said to death, but it's better to save up now and cash in to those ebay pre orders that are double the price, than wait for it to eventually triple or quadruple in price.

 

Yeah watching a couple right now but I need to sell some stuff and save a couple paychecks to be able to fund that purchase. I know BBTS got some Unicrons when those released and while they were upcharged they weren't exorbitant like most eBay prices. I'm just trying to know my options.

 

Right now, ebay is your only option. Finding someone here who has an extra is (IMO) pointless

 

I mean I limit my opportunities if I don't explore all my options and I've already seen people on TFW2005 helping others get V-Saber that missed the backing window.

Arguably, you already have the superior Star Saber...it just comes without Victory Leo. It also won't be the last time we ever see Victory Saber again. He seems to come around in some form every decade or so. I still think we may see a scaled back kid-friendly version eventually, like Cyberverse Volcanicus.

 

Bigbadtoystore store listed Unicron several times at various markups in the months before he launched, I think lowest was $650 highest $875 but he was always below whatever eBay had at the time. I got my Unicron from them for a happy $750 plus $4 flat shipping. I secured 1 star saber but I hope they get some as well so I can grab a second for a gift.

If they were trading MP24 and KFC Simba for the Haslab, would that be fair? I’d have to stop and at least think it over for a minute if someone ambushed me with that offer.

 

There's certainly pure dollar value there, but HasLab Victory Saber looks like a way more fun toy to actually handle.

 

Depends on what you're going for, I guess. The MP looks more displayable and with KFC Simba would be about almost double the Haslab. Could be a deal IF the offer was made for BOTH.

Then again, the MP has its faults like loose elbow joints that make posing with sword and especially shield difficult, and I heard Victory Saber also has problems even with the replacement joints made for it.
