I mean the only thing really bad about it is the kibble but as shown it can be mistranformed to look better.

I am in on this set, because it's Menasor, and only because it's Menasor. I just got Dragstrip a week or so ago, and man, it feels like something from a dollar store bin. Wildrider doesn't look to be any better. With the price increases and quality reductions, this is a really good time to get out of collecting Hasbro.

 

WOW! That backpack is worse than I expected, is probably worse than the backpack the upcoming SS86 Arcee has.

Weakest of the Wave no doubt.

 

Yeah, I definitely prefer Chefatron's backpack configuration instead of those wheels floating next to his kidneys. Would be nice if you could make it sit more flush on his black, but the rest of the robot mode is still really good looking, not to mention those dexterous ankles. CW Wildrider also isn't exactly kibble-free, though him being an altogether larger figure makes it look smaller on him. On the flip side, the car mode on the Legacy toy blows the CW one out of the water, probably the best Wildy's alt. mode has ever looked 3P offerings notwithstanding.

Not bad all things considered. Hope Breakdown isn't just a straight up redeco, but overall I like what I see.

The backpack doesnt bother me too much. I love the Stunticons.

The complaints about Menasor's new gestalt mode are surprising since... he's actually toon accurate!   But that's why we have toy accurate, I suppose!  

 

That back looks pretty bad, not gonna lie. Being a Combiner limb isn’t a sufficient excuse for me.

 

Or it could have just not had that issue in the first place, it literally just has to be a normal deluxe with a car that bends in one spot, it doesnt even hold any weight. If the kibble was there so everything could fold back and the chest could turn into the combiner shin i would be perfectly fine with even more kibble, but thats not the case. Compare it with dragstrip, or literally any other deluxe including the cw version and it just looks lazy

 

Looks like Chefatron provided some useful information for once. Back looks way better the alternative way.

How far in advance do these reviews tend to come of the final releases? Trying to gauge how much time I have to sell some things to make room/money.

 

I hope the next Stunticon is a shell-former: the fandom lamentation would be most entertaining!

Please no, Dead End is the only one I’m looking forward to. Hope he’s the same quality as Blaster and Dragstrip (supposedly) are.

 

So much clear plastic... My main issue here. At it has to deal with a lot of stress due to the transformation style.

 

I still will probably buy him 

 

Some really odd design and engineering choices for this wave. I can’t imagine why they thought the stock backpack configuration was the way to go. And I’ll echo that the stress on translucent parts seems worrying.

 

It's how he forms the heel when he connects to Motormaster.
