I always loved Stone's artwork in the too-few issues we got from them. I'm glad to get an amazing piece from them one last time before IDW ends.

Between Su's art, Roche's writing and now Stone's cover, we've got a pretty great spread of IDW's history in just one issue. It's like if we got a new cartoon episode with Peter Cullen and Jeffery Combs animated by the anime studio who did Cybertron lol.

 

Now we have SG 2.0 which debuts in August and will easily run till the end of the year. Still no words about the successor to IDW? Has anything changed?

Guess that comixology unlimited subscription I've got isn't anything then  

 

Well, obviously you're in the US then. As a European I don't have any subscriptions anymore, I can't find shit, my books don't show up in the new app, purchasing sucks, the new app is bad, I can't get good recommendations anymore, no way to keep track of the series I've been reading. Unless they decide to roll back what they've done, comixology is not anything I will remotely ever touch again and reward them with money for making it unusable and making it hard to even get to read my purchases.

 

At least you kept your comics, now that Comixology is linked to Amazon I don't have access to my library because my Amazon account was disabled due that I tried to open a new one when I actually made an old account years ago and completely forgot about it (and their contact support completely blows at giving any help to people outside the USA).

I guess physical is the only way for me now.

 

I know, that was spoken about earlier, I'm commenting more on the style of art evokes similarities to Marvel UK which Guido Guidi also paid homage to.

 

He's definitely got an old school style. Mostly the flat colouring and screentone shading that brings G1 stuff to mind.

He's so good at conveying action and the angles he works with are so dynamic, I'm always amazed by his stuff. Been trying to get a physical commission from him for ages, but he's only working digitally for now.

 

Holy hell that Zama cover is beautiful.

 

Hard to believe those robot parts are under that face like robot dark side more makes transformers more believable there machine I see transformers with human faces this is what imagine

 

Something I've often wondered about IDW1 Roddy: was he an Outlier? I mean, he did have that flame eruption power.

 

i remember roberts saying on that q&a twitter thing forever ago that rodimus' fire powers are a result of an extensive upgrade and not an outlier ability

 

That's a bit of a letdown. Would've been neat to see him work under Senator Shockwave.
