I curious to see how Motormaster transforms when some reviews him.

Absolutely. Hopefully they do, however, try to make all combiners here on out around the same size. I figure the more unique ones like Grand Galvatron and Megatronia will be close enough, as they'll likely never get updated.

So can I use CW robots for all the limbs?

Got it, having the CW limbs having complete compatibility would have really helped the medicine (price) go down.

I\'m sure others have pointed this out but I gotta say it, this pretty much proves that g1 accurate doesn\'t always mean better. Menasor is one of my favorite combiners but I\'ve never been a fan of the cars basically sticky taped to Motormaster wearing a helmet for the \"combined\" mode. For primus sake you can\'t even see the leg boys from the front. That\'s why I will always defend CW Menasor, they actually found away to make the limbs look like combiner limbs. And I\'m sure with the absolute masterpiece engineering in the mainline now Hasbro could use the CW method but make the figures look really good.

They tried but they favored it being more solid on its own rather than working with a 7 year old toy

I suppose it is nice that you don't NEED the limbs. Assumming it holds up and is not a wirey mess in hand. If it is of the same build quality as Skyfire, than I would consider it a win.

    MM's trailer looks like trash.

This MM won't be kept in vehicle mode at all.

I'm more so hoping he gets a Thunderclash retool.

It's actually hilarious that they advertise Menasor with no other Stunticons (besides Menasor) on the packaging. It makes it a bit more palatable for the average buyer that a $90 toy has 3 modes, where once they look at the instructions the additional $100 in deluxe figures is more of an aesthetic choice than a necessity for Menasor.

If it turns out to just be an aesthetic choice, I'm cool with them advertising like that. As a parent, I would be pretty pissed if it was advertised on the box as a 5 robot complete set.

I will say I don't like the lack of windows on Legacy toys as a whole.

For me, my biggest complaint is that the aiming sights are on the underside of the gun barrels on MM's gun

Exactly... This is why I stuck with the T30 version.

I do think they dropped the ball by not using that SIEGE mold to make an IDW based Thunderwing though.

    Actual back of the box:

To me I'm seeing "Menasor" as a legit "super mode" for Motormaster. The only limb characters shown are the wave 1 and 2 guys, and even then they are just uncolored wireframes.

I'll be honest with you and say that I always thought having the cars just stuck to Menasor like that didn't seem to make any sense. Like, why even have them attached if they aren't going to form part of the actual structure (nor be able to see the leg bots when viewing Menasor from the front). But I have to say that I like this guy. I just hope he's stable and those hip joints are up to the task. I liked the looks of a lot of the CW combiners, but I was absolutely not a fan of the instability.

    Definitely not impossible.

But you know, it would be super easy for them to retool the attachment points for the stunticons into attachment points for the godbomber armor. I'm just saying, I think that's where the winds blowing with this mold, all things considered.

Except none of godbomber goes where the stunticons go? MAYBE the lower half of the arm but even then, ones a plank and ones a glove. PMOP shouldnt share a lick with Motormaster
