Well it's halfway there, the truck mode is great, the head is great but those large areas of clear red in the shoulders are so jarring.
If they'd been able to paint those grey like they have on the laser prime version it would look so much better.

 

Looks pretty good, definitely gonna pick him up when he comes out.

But Hasbro please reveal the rest of these characters before they're all leaked.

It looks substantially worse, especially when you consider what the character is supposed to look like.

Which is a mistake. There have been numerous Nemesis Primes recently. The last Scourge to be available in the US was a Botcon exclusive. Scourge needs the update a lot more than NP.

 

Interesting look. I don't think the similarities were intentional but I'd love to see that revisited one day.

 

Hasbro meticulously designing toys to upset everyone who isn’t a fan of G1 but it’s okay because it adheres to a poorly defined aesthetic that has no coherence throughout its last 3 years

 

I dig the colors, I have no attachment to the character, so I'm fine with it.

 

Oh I don't think it was intentional either, but it is an example of RID01 Scourge having a black chest, so I thought it was worth mentioning

I like Scourge from CarRobots...and yeah missed opportunity to do it right.....but it still looks damn good!

He would look fantastic, if it wasn't for all of the garish pink parts on him. Having less of that lighter gray also makes him look a bit flat. Its a shame they didn't stick closer to his original toy / show colors.

This will be one of those figures that I pick up if I happen to come across it, but won't actively search for (kind of a blessing in disquise, considering how notoriously difficult its been to get Walmart exclusives lol).

 

Accuracy only matters when it's G1. Everything else, we're supposed to just get on our knees and praise Hasbro for their mercy in bestowing anything on us non-G1 peasants.

I didn’t click through ~15 pages, but I guess this is not U.S. Scourge (and definitely never was Nemesis Prime).

It’s 100% Japan Black Convoy (but with G2 logos?)

That being cleared up, okay, the deco does look great, as long as it’s Black Convoy. Scourge doesn’t have that hot pink, if anything, I think he has red.

I dunno.

 

They did some weird stuff with his daiper and his abs that give me some pause....

 

Huh. It's gonna take a bit of work to get the robot mode to look right, but I can deal with that. Bonus points for remembering the inverted G2 Autobot badge! Gimme gimme!

(I kinda like how the shoulder towers look leaving them black)

 

Damn, I'm really excited for this figure. Guess I'll have two Scourge/Nemesis Prime figures in my display now.

 

I normally don't go for the black repaint Optimus but I skipped the G2 Prime version because I was holding out for this one and all I can say is:
