Wth man, so I worked 12 hours, than slept 1.5 hrs to go my eldest child's last day of school...then I drove the family 7+ hrs to spend with family...I'm watching more than meets the eye pt 01, g1, season 01 e01 on Hasbro Pulse channel...my eldest comes in while I'm getting rid of paper mail and says, "that's old"...then my wife comes in and says I don't have a gunt anymore wth, hehehe

Yeah, the guy who played Cole/Wildforce Red stabbed someone else to death with a katana. Though I believe it was ruled self defense.

 

Can someone dumb this down for us simpletons? I really don't understand what he did.

 

During Covid, they claimed some of the free money the government was offering to businesses, but they lied on the form and weren't really entitled to get it.Then once they got the money rather than use it to pay for employees paychecks as the loan was intended, they used the money on themselves.

 

There's been a lot of similar situations of misappropriation of the PPP, unemployment, and other relief offered during Covid that has been coming to light lately.

 

Things are just too messed up now. I feel afraid of going out into the public where I will probably run into a bad person. Let me tell you when I'm hunting for toys, I see lots of druggies, shoplifters or just plain brawls for no reason at all.

I have had a few realizations - I have realized that I have been forcing myself to do things without my heart really being into it. One of those things is engaging with people in a more open and public manner. Everything since this year has started has told me that I am best just sticking to myself and not being apart of people's problems. I don't want to hurt anyone, but yet I have. I am sorry to all of those I have hurt, but I have to put myself first above all else and if that means having to gradually pull myself away from certain people, that means that I will do so.

I can't say I blame them - but it seems that my previous methods of going about communication and interaction with people have not worked out. I was too open. I wore my heart on my sleeves, and got involved in everything that all of my friends did - leading me to feel extremely stressed out when I wasn't wanting to do those things. I did it out of obligation, rather than what actually made me happy. Several groups I was involved in became a chore.

I showed up in chats because I felt like I had to - not because I wanted to. Several friendships I had to walk away from because I didn't feel respected. In those situations, I recognize that I was not entirely innocent, and I could have handled it a lot better, but that is the way it is and there is no going back to fix it. I wish things could be simple again - a complete fresh start, with all new people, so I won't have to deal with this mental cloud of ended friendships, bad ends, and complex situations that consume my thoughts long after they have ended.

I've fucked up a lot and I only have myself to blame for it.

 

Wanted to crisp some fries in a new microwave bought 2 and a half weeks; put them on some baking paper and let them go for 9 minutes. Came to check on them when it was nearly time only to discover smoke. Stopped the machine and saw the plate was on fire; quickly got them out and chucked it into the sink.

The fries were so badly charred and the baking paper almost gone. Plugged the microwave off; wiped some of the grime off and maybe the conductor on that thing is fried. Worse thing after that is the warranty for the thing claims it won't help with anything related to the customer.

F***...So glad a human catastrophe was avoided.

I'm actually curious, where did you get the idea that you can crisp fries in a microwave? You can't "crisp" in them, they work from the water contain in the food. (aka akin to boiling them)

Good to know that it didn't cause a house fire, but dang, I hope that it wasn't something you saw or read on the internet

 

They were frozen fries.

This was the microwave I had down below; didn't have a 'fry' option and it was oil free.

 

Oh dang... A microwave with a "crisp" setting? Is it a dual model as some do have a "oven" type element to heat. I had one and 2-3 uses and I learned that it was a complete piece of garbage gimmick that just doesn't work well at all and prone to burn.

Better off just getting a toaster oven or a "kitchen hero" hot air cyclonic oven for such foods.

 

I fucking hate life.

 

Yeah, I feel like a microwave with an oven function is risky with the amount of heat it can generate.

 

So on a positive note my drinking habit is almost gone, it makes me so physically miserable anymore I can actually go for a long time (2 weeks to a month) without it but I still get stupid sometimes. The urges are always there, especially on these awesome summer nights, and driving past my local store is a struggle every time but I just take it day by day. That said, I feel fucking everything now. The panic, fear, depression, anger, self hate. All of it. I'm working on that too but due to the awesome insurance here in the good ole USA I have no way to see my therapist/doctor for a while until my wife can get us insured through work. Right now every day is an exercise in suffering. Work is drying up so I make only a minimum amount until we get a job where we can make better. With everything costing so much now people just arent doing much home remodeling in my area unless they have serious cash so my comic/toy hobby gets put on the back burner and since that's all I have to keep my mind preoccupied, my brain wants to fall back to drinking since its cheap and makes things seem easier. A bottle of vodka is $5 and with my genetically low tolerance I can make a couple nights or one full day out of that. That's only a dollar more than a comic book which lasts me about 10-15 minutes. Seems kind of fucked to me.

 

I got a new lawnmower that has a drive train and now my wife mowed the lawn for the first time in 13 years of home ownership. I had been using a reel mower up till now, but we're both getting older and we decided to get an electric one (which is not environmentally responsible, I know).
