As much as I like this, I\'m going to wait until they release an accurate paint job.  And even then, if they continue price hiking ON TOP of the inflation issues going on, this whole line will contue to be a pass for me.

 

Looking at if more, getting Nemesis Prime with Black Convoy G2 symbols splashed with a Lisa Frank folder color palette.

Man, y'all know I try to stay positive on here, but I gotta say I'm really not feeling this thing. I know Nemesis Prime has a ton of fans, but...that's not Black Convoy, and it kinda bums me out that Hasbro couldn't fully commit to the Black Convoy/Scourge deco instead. I don't even mind all the pink, but the black looks so weird and monotone on that mold in a way that kinda could've been avoided had it looked more like the original.

Maybe I'm just a salty old person who was around back when you had to import Car Robots toys (before RiD01 was confirmed to happen), but I'm probably passing on this guy. (Which is for the best, because we all know how shitty and inconsistent Walmart exclusives can be.)

 

Yes....he was hard to acquire for a bit.  

 

RIGHT?? Like I get it, it definitely differs from the original colors, but it looks amazing still? If anything the pink windows look even better against the black rather than if it had been the original darkish gray. He just looks so vibrant and alive, and while not a one to one update to the original I'm still very hyped

 

The instructions and packaging will say the official name, although since the name isn't printed on the toy you can actually call it whatever you want

 

Accurate or not I think this does help give him a pretty chilling vibe that he's known for. So he's on my to get list for sure. Have an idea of pairing him up with my Legends Nightbird and getting POTP Battletrap to have a CHUG take on the ROTB Terrorcons.

Also if it's any consolation to people not happy about this there's a good chance Takara will end up doing a more accurate repaint of Scourge sooner or later so it's not like this is a one time thing.

Ironically it had a lot of gray on the back of him and it is now rumored that said gray plastic has the yellowing issue like Cyclonus.

No no but justifications!! I'm sure they must have used up the grey paint budget on Springer?! I'm sure they will get it right when they do toy accurate colors?! Or maybe if we all buy this inaccurate version...we might just get an accurate version...eventually?!! Mirage & Jazz, RID Scourge & Nimusus Prime What's the difference...right?! Let's just keep justifying! repaints & screw ups! I'm sure it's only going to keep getting better & Hasbro will eventually get it right!

Tbf the windows on the chest are also wrong. They're solid gray with black details rather than red windows, so the "pop" wouldn't take effect.

Hey how much is LG Black Convoy, the TR Prime repaint? He under 3 digits at least?

 

I want Scourge in this mold, but this figure looks bland to me. Maybe when I have it on hand, I might come around.

 

Ikr? I was expecting an okay-ish Override retool of Hot Rod and an easy slam dunk for Scourge.

The entire back half of the torso was a different color from the front half
