Def wouldn't mind Sideswipe being the first rotf guy, although I wouldn't mind it if they skipped around a bit and covered some of the major villains/heroes from other movies instead of going in order. I want a good MPM-sized Lockdown so badly, and Sentinel Prime too! Also, you can put two images in one post, or edit your post to add another image instead of double-posting
Honestly cant have enough car bots. I would buy a beater bumblebee and ROTF bumbleebee purely for vehicle modes. If they need more time to get the big bots done from 07 before moving onto ROTF I'm cool with that but I hope the pace picks up moving onto future movies. Otherwise it'll be another 10 years and we might be looking at DOTM. Watch Starscream be immediately released with as a tattooed version when they get into ROTF as well as possible reissues of prime, Ironhide or ratchet. otherwise I cant see the next 4 bots being mixed of brawl, bonecrusher, bumblebee and sideswipe. Edit: Looking at the cast of ROTF, here's the list I imagine even possible for MPM treatment. Autobots: Sideswipe, Jolt, Jetfire (built to combine). maybe arcee sisters. Decepticons: Megatron, Tattooed Scream, Sideways. maybe Grindor from Blackout mold. There is no way, especially at this rate of release, I see devastator, the twins (Due to their nature), Soundwave or the fallen being done before just moving to DOTM if we even ever get there
What are your guy’s predictions for MPM in 2023? Do you think we will get a Rise of the Beasts Tie In MPM figure?
Almost certainly, so Blackout is probably it for movie one. Guess we're never going to get a good bonecrusher... There's like, one 3rd party figure made of him, and it's "ok". But it's not on par with the quality of the oversized movie 2 megs KO, or the Sentinal Prime or Black out oversized KOs. I would love to have had an official MPM of the guy as my OS Blackout holds his own against MPM13.
We just had a year gap for MPM12’s Bumblebee Movie Optimus before they went back to a 2007 figure. They’ll get to the rest of them eventually - be patient.
Totally a 77 Camaro bumblebee that could be redecoed as the ROTB or 07 style bee as they share a vehicle mode for the most part
I'm predicting not that because none of the MPMs have been "upscales" and people thought blackout was a SS upscale and it's totally different. Borrowing a bit of the transformation scheme or some details doesn't make it an upscale!
I have to say, I think the MPM Line is getting better after every release. Since Mpm-8 Megatron and 9 Jazz it feels like they found their way. The figures are not perfect, of course, but for the price point they have, they offer a lot. These designs are much more difficult to make in plastic form than G1, and the Budget for these figure is much more limited than what the G1/BW Mesterpiece line have, though these figure get the design quite good, have some really smart and interesting solutions, and the latest releases where really solid QC wise, something that the G1 line can´t really say, and for a lot of more money. I would actually prefer a higher price point (120 usd for carbots and 200 usd for the big bots, or even 250 if they were in the right scale!) in order to get that "Premium finish" that these figures lack of, but this is just my opinion. With only one release per year it wouldn´t even be that big financial problem, but I know that many people think the opposite. I just really hope MPM-13 Blackout to be a solid figure with no QC problems because damn, it looks awesome. I quite like my OS Studio Series like Blakout and Brawl, but everytime I see a new MPM release, it looks incredibly better, so I hope the line will live long enough to give us a lot of other characters.
Definitely hoping they skip around between movies after they finish 07. I would really like to get a better BB-Movie Bumblebee, along with Shatter, Dropkick, and Blitzwing, sometime within the decade. There are some others I'd want to see such as Sentinel Prime, Lockdown, Jetfire, Soundwave, and Hot Rod (And maybe an official MPM take on TLK Megatron, though I am quite happy with Dragoon) but I'm just not as married to the idea of getting the full casts of most of the movies, especially with the number of no-name cannon fodder Decepticons that showed up in the later films. 07 and Bumblebee, though, are worth completing in full.
Out of all of the MPM toys released so far. MPM TF 6 Optimus is my favorite toy. Hoping at some point Hasbro make a MPM toy for TF 6 Megatron. That is a similar to scale to MPM TF 6 Optimus.
I really want another shot at a Camaro Bee. It could be the Rotf or Dotm one I don't care. Also I'd love if we got Sideswipe, Lockdown and Jolt. Personally I think the first no 07 character will be either Sideswipe or Sentinel
Well he doesn't have a design yet, and he won't be appearing in rotb either, so you may be waiting a while.
My first foray into proper MPMs. Got my autobot shelf all situated, and one of these things is not like the others.
Was looking at my bots today and i have to say they look good together i feel that all the engineers who made these figures are briljant! Its amazing that they can come up with a transformation that works and presents both forms. Hats of to them! The glass box does becomes to small when Blackout will be added tho also a bit in doubt if I should change my costum original Ratchet for the KO version… I do like the darker tone of the KO but I don’t like the darkish blue windows
Nice display! Yeah I really do think the people who make these are amazing sometimes. I think that if they have shortcomings it's due to having budget cuts or time cuts. I am also running into issues with display space, since so many good MPM figures have been coming out. Good thing I'm moving soon so I'll have an opportunity to rework how they're displayed. I got the OSKO Ratchet but I'm selling it and keeping my custom official. I dunno I just like the smaller size better and the green was too dark for me. IMO the only MPMs that NEEDED a KO were Ironhide and Prime. Prime was almost amazing on his own, just needed some improvements and a better headsculpt. Ironhide of course needed some issues fixed and to be bigger.
yes very amazing! Good luck with the moving! Well I have a mixture of officials and KO but mostly I end up adding a lot of paint on the originals (wich can be fun tho) but the improved paint on for example Starscream make him look so much more premium. Same actuelly for mpm-04 and Lt-02.
