If you're unfamiliar with it TUBI TV is a free streaming service with a huge library. They have many long lost or hidden gems on there. I'm always browsing through for something to new watch. If you got any reccomends or interesting finds put em in here for us. It's not great but I've been watching Freddy's Nightmares for the first time since it originally aired. Some of the cast in this is mind blowing. I can't believe Brad Pitt and Lori Petty were in this.
Sam and Max: Freelance Police is a obscure Fox Kids show that deserves a watch. Only 13 episodes, but hilarious and tons of fun.
So, I was watching this movie on Tubi, called Eye Of The Needle. It's this WWII movie about a Nazi Spy in England, and, then this happens: Spoiler Somehow I doubt photographing the fake airplanes matter anymore, dude. Spoiler
Black Mountain Side is an excellent horror movie that me and my older sister discovered and we can't recommend enough.
I've been going through this also. I vaguely remember some of these from back in the day, particularly the pilot and the follow-up ep with the twins. I only saw maybe a dozen or so originally, probably all season 1, because of scheduling issues and/or being 'too young' and having to sneak in viewings. I love me some horror schlock. Not just '80s, there's a neverending pile of horror schlock all the way through 2022 on there. I started watching whatever popped up on the horror line, but what I had and hadn't seen, and what was good and what was shit, started to become a big jumble in my head. So I made a spreadsheet to track it all. Just the year, title, short blurb about the plot, and good/meh/bad review. For every 10 movies there's one or two terribad movies that are hard to finish, one good one that clearly stands out, and the rest falling in meh territory. Objectively not good, but subjectively good schlock. I don't have access to that list right now. I'll post what I thought were some of the better ones when I do.
Ok, this was fun. I went through a large chunk of the website so hopefully that was up to date on what is available. I saw several films I have been wanting to watch myself for a while and will be adding them to my own list. Top ones to see if you haven't already. Man from Nowhere (Fantastic Korean action dramas. Nothing original but everything they do is extremely strong) Only God Forgives (My personal Favorite Nicolas Winding Refn films! Very slow and methodical with fantastic visuals and music) The Void (A solid modern day practical effects horror movie) Man of Tai Chi (A fun marital arts film directed by and costarring Keanu Reeves. I find the action to be quite good here) Coherence (I always almost watched this over the years and when I finally did I very much enjoyed it. Great low-key sci-fi flick) Safety Not Guaranteed (Charming little love story Dramedy with sci-fi themes) Hunt for the Wilderpeople (Classic from director Taika Waititi, funny and heartwarming) Kill Zone 2 (No need to watch the first. This is one of my favorite marital arts films, always recommend this one) Not the best but interesting Merantau (Not a very good one, average, However it is the first film by The Raid director Gareth Evans. So if you want to see where he started it is a good curiosity watch) We Need to Talk About Kevin (now it has been a while since I saw this one and remember it being good but not amazing) Burning (Decent little Korean mystery-drama. didn't blow me away) My Blueberry Nights (If you are a big Wong Kar Wai fan then you may enjoy this. Probably one his lesser movies but still) Out of the Furnace (Dark/bleak revenge film with Christian Bale) Have not see myself but very much want to Why Don't You Play in Hell? (A goofy, crazy and violent looking Japanese film about filmmakers and yakuza) Shadow Black Coal Thin Ice
If you are into tokusatsu, there’s plenty of Ultraman and Super Sentai, the latter in particular is (more or less) the original Japanese version of Power Rangers and even a few seasons of Kamen Rider on here.
I usually get my horror fix from there. Pretty odd how this seems to have such a strong library of horror when it's free. Some recommendations that are at the very least okay: Exists Hell House LLC Grave Encounters The Houses October Built The Taking of Deborah Logan Final Prayer Willow Creek Bigfoot: The Lost Coast Tapes V/H/S 2 The Barrens Doctor Sleep Scream 4 The Evil Dead Evil Dead remake Hellraiser Brightburn Salem's Lot Dagon There are a lot here that would probably be an instant click if spotted, but it's just plain cool to be able to watch Hellraiser for free. The first nine are found footage.
