Omegalock just listed a reissue for Ollie v2.

That's something I didn't expect to be typing...

 

I've always wanted one but never heard good things about the figure

 

I picked it up a while back. It's...okay. Not horrific, but not great.

It's gonna fill a gap I care little about, looks the part, etc. so I'm fine with him. If people really like Wheelie, or simply have to have FT, it's not gonna cut it.

 

I know there probably are people that really like Wheelie. And if we're talking about, say, IDW Wheelie, I kinda get it. But G1 American Toon Wheelie, at least, is one of the most insufferable and obnoxious garbage characters to ever have disgraced the Transformers franchise.

There, I said it. I feel much better now.

And he's orange. A great color wasted.

Ollie 2.0 is not good but is good enough.

 

So do we think we are gonna see Virtus next month? XTB has been really quiet on social media recently. Not even @Grifter Prime has been seen posting

XTB's only posted about Eligos releasing, and nothing from KFC about the Junkions or V2 Tapes either...

Exactly, @Grifter Prime seems to have stepped back from Transformers. He's also not very active in the Facebook groups anymore either. So we don't have an XTB rep on the boards anymore.

Maybe with the news on the Headmasters we'll see some other updates soon.

 

We did get the G2 Trailer for Menasor and now the metallic Eligos so I'm hoping that June will see the release of Virtus. That last list from Grifter Prime had the order correct so possibly another update when it seems Virtus is imminent?

It would be exciting to get an update on the next 3 or 4 expected releases like we got back at the New Year. There was talk of an Omnibot or possibly a Quintesson, Junkions, or KFC tapes which could be in play as upcoming figures. Ultra Magnus also seemed on a fast-track like Perceptor so I wouldn't be shocked to hear him mentioned as one of the next couple of releases.

 

An omnibot would be great right about now 

 

How about the Horrorcons, KFC? I put in a PO for those two. Better not F them up.

 

I think Grifter Prime had the Lionel Hutz naming problem, where it's hard to trust somebody who says "don't trust me" right in their name. I'd love to be proven wrong but he came in here, posted a bunch of things that got everybody excited and basically seemed too good to be true and then disappeared. But yeah between that and me being convinced that we're never going to see Virtus, I'd love to be proven wrong

 

I'm sticking with the old ones, but those repaints do look nice.

I'm really wondering when Dante, Da Vinci, Tirador and Caravaggio are coming. Same with Fast and Fury. TCP has most of them listed as coming out in June which is clearly not possible.

 

It might mean nothing but I have a junkion preordered on Taobao and they just told me it’s expected to release in July. Might just be a placeholder date but it was a weird message to send out of the blue.

 

Wasn't Caravaggio the one that was rumored to come be coming out in March that never came out?

 

I'm still waiting for the dead end reissue. I'm assuming the lockdowns are wreaking havoc over there, but it would be nice to have some communication on what's coming down the line.
